I dont know what conditions these solenoids are usually activated under but below is an example if it is just a single RPM on/off point.  You can use any spare Aux output, ignition or injector drive.  Set its function to "GP output", then choose the conditions that you want it active under.  In the example below it would turn on when RPM goes above 4000RPM and turn off when RPM drops below 4000.  You can add more conditions - for instance if you only want it on between 2000 & 5000RPM...

It is actually your MAP limit kicking in.  All limiters in the G4 have a "control range", this is the range of variable being measured/limited that you allow the ECU to use to take limiting action over.  By default if you have advanced limit mode turned off the MAP limit has a control range of 10KPa.
In your case you have your MAP limit set to 235KPa, so with the 10KPa "control range", the ECU will start applying a cut at 225Kpa.  Your log only shows you reached 224KPa, but since your logging rate is only 10Hz you probably missed that last little spike.
So my suggestion is to increase your MAP limit to about 15Kpa above the max boost you intend to run.
Note our RPM limit is similar - by default is has a control range of 200RPM - so it will start to limit 200RPM "early".

HUGE thanks to Adam for all his help, thank you sir! Ran great today, i set rpm limit to 9800 and ign cut is on but only gets 9140+/- rpm. Adam, can you look at this file and see what im not doing?  Run log and map sent.

    RPM Based switch
    Hi All,

I'm just planning my ECU install on my MX5 (99 NB). My model comes with VICS (Variable intake control system), from my understanding I need to switch on a solenoid at a given RPM to activate the VICS.

How do I go about setting that up on my Link ECU?

    Cheers,
    Barend

    Hello Adamw,

Thank you for your prompt answer and kindly information.
I understand the specification of G4 series.
Then I'm considering to go to buy G4+Xtreme than the external control, becuse the wire-harness and hardwere already has been installed as Aux9/10...
(G4+ has Japanese format too :))

I will try to create vvti one based on yours base map of supra without vvti. (It is included one when PCLink was installed, right?)

    Many thanks,
    Yuto,

  7. Adamw added a post in a topic E-throttle addaptation with G4 Xtreme V4.10.2

    Hello Yuto,
Only the Silver cased G4 Xtreme had Aux9/10 and built in E-Throttle hardware.  The G4 Xtreme with the red case did not have any E-throttle hardware built in.  It needed an external control box for the E-throttle control.  These are no longer sold by us but I just spoted one for sale the other day: http://www.ebay.com/itm/182506142609
For the base map the closest we have is our supra base map it will just have no vvti settings.

    E-throttle addaptation with G4 Xtreme V4.10.2
    Hello,

I'm Japanese user of G4 Xtreme and this is first time to use LINK ecu.
I'm going to apply G4 Xtreme to 2JZ-GTE VVTi E-throttle engine. (Normal engine, not any tuned)

Do you know G4 Xtreme is available to control E-throttle with Aux9/10 by ECU itself?
Eventhough I'm going to control E-throttle by using Aux9/10, I couldn't define Aux9/10 as E-throttle+-, because I couldn't find Aux9/10 in the list of ECU setting.
(Please see the attached, It is shown only Aux1~8, Virtual Aux1~3 and Timer...)
On the other hands, Aux9/10 is appeared in the list of Runtime and it is shown as "Not defined!". (I want to define...!!!)

In addition, If you can share the base map for Toyota Aristo 2JZ-GTE VVTi TwinTurbo E-throttle,
It could be very helpful to setup the calibrations.

    Thanks in advance,
    Yuto,

Can you walk me through this please so i can understand what im doing wrong please, thank you
I added all data to the log list, can you show me how to add them or what im doing wrong, if this is just a simple fix then i can be up and running again tonight, thanks again Adam.
  13. Adamw added a post in a topic unable to draw mixture map- wideband parameter missing

It needs to be "Wideband 1" & "AFR Target"  like I said earlier.  You still havent got either of these logged.

    Went into:

Changed wideband source from AN V6 to Wideband 1 and still no data
Says Loge file error: Wideband parameters missing.

Wonder why the AFR Target did not show, i will try it again
    start forum2.llg
    NO DATA still.....
Shows on the AN v6 wideband, does this need to be changed to wideband 1?  Look at the under 'logger' then below in the value list in the last file and see it in pink

I added these, i will start it and get another log to view, be right back thank you
    Still shows NO DATA

You havent logged "Wideband 1" or "AFR Target", both of these are needed for the Mixture map.  Here is the list of what you have logged:

In the PC logging screen there is a "add all" button at the bottom, click that will ensure everything is logged.
Also if you update your firmware to 4.10.2 the ECU logging is much improved over the 4.9.3 version you are on now and will include all you need for mixture map tuning (any you wont need a laptop attached).

unable to draw mixture map- wideband parameter missing
As title states, running old firmware 4.9.3. I use AN Volt 6 for my wideband, that was in my old notes from 2011. So, after calibrating my O2 sensor, it reads ARF on the logger but when i save the file run log and pull it back up, the error comes up so the fuel correction table does not come up. I cannot find the 3D fuel table 1 under TUNING screen. Im lost...any help out there?  This is a V88 marine unit for Yamaha PWC
