  1. I've had any issue since install where my link CAN Guage will only update when the brake pedal is pressed. All other times it shows either -50/0 except when I've pressed the pedal, then it will show last known value. When the pedal is held, it updates in real time. I installed the Link Fury X and Link branded GuageArt CAN Guage at the same time, I've checked the wiring from the Guage to the ECU and it's all correct as per the instructions. I have the guage hooked up to CAN 2 (Pins 27 & 28) of the B connector. I've followed the GuageArt instructions for configuring both the ECU settings as well as the phone App configuration. I don't beileve the issue is with the app as the selected paramaters and screen layouts I've chosen display correctly. I beileve it's either a wiring issue or more likely a configuration issue with my CAN setup, but I'm unsure of what. Any help is appreciated. The car is a 1997 Toyota Supra I can provide more details about the build if required but the brake pedal and under dash wiring etc is all stock. Also, apologies this is my very first post so let me know if I've left anything out or you require any further info. Boostworx-szr.pclx
  2. Seems this question comes up pretty frequently, both at least here and on Facebook - no doubt Support and the Community are sick of answering it. The software needs a note to indicate which CAN Devices are supported by the "CAN Devices" / "Find CAN Devices" tab in CAN Setup; Still unsure whether its Link branded CAN devices only, a combination of Link & AIM products, etc? A quick look through the Help File doesn't really indicate what is supported by the function either - please add clarification @ Link Support. Thanks
  3. Hey guys, I'm having a bit of an issue with my Link CAN Gauge, sometimes after engine start, it won't receive data from the ECU (WRXLink9) and just shows zeros until I restart the car. It's connected to accessory switched, does it need to be on the ignition "ON" position so it retains power during cranking? I'm assuming it must be dropping connection or something. any help is appreciated, thanks guys
  4. I purchased one of these GaugeArt CAN bus gauges for my FD RX7, which is running a Link G4+ Fury ECU. Problem I'm having is the gauge refuses to display some of the extended channel data GaugeArt claims it should, for example Lambda target. Tech support folks at GaugeArt has been telling me for months now that they have been working with Link to come up with an updated set of configuration instructions that should fix my problem, but they have not delivered yet. Was hoping maybe someone here has figured out a solution for this. I simply want to be able to set up a 2 parameter display screen that shows Lambda 1 (a standard channel) and Lambda Target (an extended channel) on the same page. When I try to do that according to the GaugeArt instructions, Lambda 1 displays properly, but I get a constant 0.000 for Lambda Target. Anyway, here's a link to the standard and extended channel list this gauge is supposed to support and display: https://gaugeart.com/instructions/gaugeart-can-gauge-supported-ecu-data-channels/supported-ecu-channels-vipec-link-g4/ And here is a link to the instructions GaugeArt provides its users for them to configure a Link G4+ to work with their CAN bus gauge: https://gaugeart.com/instructions/vi-pec-link-g4-ecu-setup/ I've followed those instructions to the letter, with one exception - Since I wired my CAN gauge to DI9/10 (CAN2 module), I substituted CAN2 module for CAN1 module in their instructions. The GaugeArt gauge seems to work fine that way otherwise, and I can configure it to display everything it should, EXCEPT for the following extended channels: Lambda Target Lambda Correction 1 Lambda Correction 2 Boost Target (kPa / PSIg) Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi Team I am having issues with OBD2 scanner connecting to my G4X V4 WRX Plugin ECU. My scan tool has 3 LEDs: Red-Power, Green-network, and Blue-Bluetooth. It is wired up to CAN2 and the OBD has be set to "ISO 15765 on CAN 2" in CAN setup. But with this setting turned on nothing happens (only the red & blue LEDs and the slow green polling flash) UNLESS I click the "CAN Devices" tab and click "Find Devices" button. As soon as I do this the OBD2 scanner comes to life (Fast flashing green led) and Scanner works perfectly as expected. Obviously having to connect my PC and click the "find Devices" button every time I want to use the OBD2 is self defeating, is there any setting that I have missed? If not, can I make CAN2 transmit something to wake everything up? Subaru WRX V3-4 -5.22.pclx
  6. Hi, Im working on some project and need to send the fault code from ecu to my microcontroller via CAN bus. For the case where the fault codes count is more than 1, how do i send all the fault codes to via CAN? From the help file - the "Fault Codes (Status)" defined as per below: Is it if i set the parameter in the frame to "Fault Codes (Status)", which the data will be 0-255: Is it representing then number of specific fault code i.e Fault code 57 --> MAP Above Fault Code Value OR is it bit position of the fault code. means bit 57 in fault code is MAP Above Fault Code Value Thank you in advance!!!
  7. Hey guys! Trying to run my g4 thunder ecu on my Subaru liberty GT Gen 4 As far as I’m aware, the only CAN communication required is engine load, Si-Drive and coolant temperature to the cluster , along with wheel speed from the BCM. Only issue I’m having is the CAN ID to obtain the data. Only data the ecu needs to send to the cluster is temperature and engine load. Rest will be read. would anyone know the IDs are or how I’d be able to obtain them using the ecu? (Canbus system is very similar if not the same with the 08-14 wrx, if that helps!) Thanks!
  8. Quick question, is there anyway to customise the existing Transmit generic dash CAN data? I have an AIM MXS dash connected via CAN using the Transmit generic CAN data option. The stream inlcudes several parameters that arent applicable in a rotary engined application, can I change these and make use of DI channels? This would provide me more useable functions in the way of dash alarm functions. I've read the help files and noticed I could compile a user defined CAN format but was hoping this could be avoided by modifying the existing ones.
  9. Hello! I have roblem whith OBD on G4X. I need to coonect DAMD steering weel to Link ECU. It is connect whithout any problems on G4+but on G4X with same setings it dosent work at all. After connecting control lamp to CAN wire I see that on User Defined I dosent have anithing but on others protocols I have some signals (on G4+ I have signal on User Defined). Video below.
  10. Hi I need help I have wired in a ECU Master CAN to LAMBDA into the ECU but I am struggling to get the find it on the Link G4+ software, I have tried all the CAN ID's I could find on the internet but still no luck. I am selecting the wrong information please see attached screen shot
  11. I have absolutely no tune on my 4age except for the startup map my wiring harness guy did. He told me to get an AFR gauge so I did. It's a AEM X gauge and it causing me some issues. My wiring harness has a wbo2 input with a white and brown wire but when connected to my sensor gauge it gets no input in the ecu. I'm running a monsoonX btw. The gauge reads 25 afr at idle but my idle doesnt work at all. Any help would be appreciated as the engine is brand new rebuilt.
  12. Evening guys, I have a G4+ plug in for my V1-2 WRX and am running a Haltech IC7 dash. The dash is wired via CAN from the Link G4+ and EVERYTHING works except for % ethanol. It shows the correct % ethanol on the G4+, but the IC7 will only show 0%. Currently have RPM, speed, oil pres, oil temp, coolant temp, IAT, lambda, etc. etc.... See attached configuration for CAN module 1 (the dash). I am running CAN lambda on CAN module 2. Any help would be appreciated!! Cheers, Mitch
  13. Hello there again, I was playing with AEM's CAN gauge (30-0312) as at the end I want that to display the lambda values from the Link CAN Lambda (which is on the way home) and potentially an other one to display EGT. Unfortunately the gauge itself is not customizable by means of specifying what ID or frame structure to use, but it has a big bunch of AEM specific message types preset. I was able to configure the G4X to send the IAT and ECT and those were displayed correctly, however the Infinity user guide states a scaling like this for the lambda vale: 0.00390625 Lambda/bit. There are other parameters with similar scaling, so I guess this is more of a generic scaling question. Do you have any idea how to translate this to G4X "language"? The multiplier and divider fields don't seem to accept fractions and they are limited to 5 digits only. Thanks
  14. Hi Folks, I'm having some issue with my CAN Lambda. Bought it new a while back and I finally decided to fit it.. So I've got it wired up as per the instructions but I'm getting a error 26 - which according to instructions relates to - supply voltage dropped below 10.8V while operating. Solution - Check Wiring, Check Battery, May occur during cranking" Ive check the wiring, relay is wired correctly, power is coming from the battery, good ground, accessory going to the CAN module. All seems fine. Battery is fine, showing 12V+ Which leaves "may occur during cranking".. I thought this might be the issue (might still be) so I put a switch on the accessory power going to the relay just to turn it on once the car has started. thinking this would take the cracking part out of the occasion just incase it was dropping below the 10v. I'm kinda out of ideas on what else to check, if anyone has any ideas?? Also looking at the lambda status , I might have other issues but they only come up when I start the car. map and log attached along with some snapshots can lambda test.llg afterlambdainstall.pclr
  15. G'day all, Playing around setting up my FuryX and MXG Strada dash, and trying to understand the full canbus stream. There seems to be plenty of items I won't be using, and plenty not there that I would like to use. Is there a way of adding additional items into the stream to be read from the dash? For example, I want to put the cruise control status and set speed on there, plus traction control status. The help file doesn't really go into detail with this (probably because it's a can-bus of worms). Is there a way to adjust the data stream? Or are there more values in the stream (can aux outputs...???) that can be configured in race studio (not found a lot in there). The other way I could do this would be to completely rebuild the stream on both ends as a custom stream. Not the quickest way to do it, but would certainly remove the clutter and add the bits I want. I do find the lack of ability to customise the display on the MXG a bit annoying (maybe quite a bit annoying). AIM tells me this is because they have to make sure all displays work and are legal, however I'm not sure how this applies with varying legality requirements in various countries/jurisdictions? It would be nice to rearrange so I can get rid of things like the current gear, and add things like cruise mode icon in a corner above the cruise set speed... but no method for user configuration of the pages (beyond changing the value in the set location) is available. Yes there's pages with HEAPS of info available, but this becomes a clutter for normal driving (this is a street car... hence the street version of the dash). I guess some ability to adjust this would be nice. Can it be done with some rudimentary editing software (even an xml editor if it's built that way) Cheers, Owen
  16. Hi guys, I have a problem with a Kms can display wired to my G4+ ecu. The display won't receive/show any data. I wired the Kms can display with the Can to dash cable to my ecu. Can high(white wire) and Can low (green wire) the other cables from the dash cable aren't connected. 12v and gnd for the display separately. I followed the steps in the ecu help to set it up in the Can settings menu(set id, transmit to kms can display and so on) As I heard are there problems with the Can to dash cable so i shortened the cable to about 200mm but the display doesn't work and there are no instructions in the Kms manual. Do I miss something? Do I have to set up anything else then the help page says? NG

    AtomX CAN Error

Hi all I have recently received an AtomX and I'm trying to set up an arduino based CAN device to send messages to the ECU. The issue I'm having at the moment is an error when I try to find devices in the CAN Setup menu, I get an error for "CAN Bridge Failed - Check ECU Firmware". I updated my firmware last night to the latest available. Any ideas on why this is happening? I have checked that there is a 120ohm resistor at the end of my CAN lines, and my output messages appear to be configured correctly.
  18. Hi guys, I setup9 temp sensors reading exhaust, gearbox, diff... And i want to send this data to the link ecu through can bus i already got the can bus shield for arduino, also if there any other way to read them in the link ecu and log those values i am welcoming suggestions as wwellanything other then canbus Has anyone done this before that can shed some light on it? Kind regards
  19. Hi guys, i connected an HC-06 to RS232 RX-TX on my e36+ PNP but couldn't connect to it on pc link does anyone know what voltage does RX-TX of the can 1 work on and is it possible to connect to pc link through that , should i change any parameters on the ECU ? as i understood that that can port can be used for tunning but it dosen't seem to work with me any help is appreciated, i had experience on this before on megasquirt1-2-3 and it was quite straight forward connect the pins and it ran directly so i know the bleutooth module is working correctly and it is setup at 115200Baud, com ports and everything are chosen respectivly from pc link the object of this is a cheap hidden low power solution inside the ECU and nothing connected to it just like megasquirt without any expensive good for nothing dongles and ethernet and usb stuff hanging outside the ecu... kind regards,
  20. Hi I am wanting to to use this ECU Master Can Switch Board in conjunction with a Link G4+ Fury ECU. switchboardManual.pdf Will the messages sent by it be able to be read by the ECU. I am wanting to use it for pitlane limiter, traction control disable, ALS, launch control, etc with rotary potentiometers to adjust boost levels, traction control slip, DBW sensitivity, etc.
  21. Hi, I appreciate this may have come up before, but I approached KMS to see if their unit would work with the V Series. After some emails as below, it appears Link have the CAN files but it doesn't work with the V Series only the I Series...is this correct? Could a firmware/software update provide the corrected CAN data? Hi, The question was asked some time ago, and it looks as though your unit isn't compatible with the V Series. http://forums.linkecu.com/index.php?/topic/1852-vipec-v88-kms-can-display/ Is it possible to talk to Link to see if there is a way to make the unit work with the V Series? There must be a big market for your kit, as there isn't anything similar at that price...! 22. Hoping i could get some clarification on the following, currently in the process of wiring a g4+ fury, aim strada 1.2 dash and LS1 coils 1st query is on the signal ground for the LS1 coils, can i wire the signal ground and the power ground both to the engine block? as per picture? Not sure if the sensor ground is required to pass back into the ecu 2nd query is on the aim strada can wiring on the aim wiring i have can 1+ and can 1-, can i wire these into can 2 l and can 2 h on the b plug and program to talk with the can setup in g4+ software? i figured this was easier than getting the correct plug for the link to wire into can1? 3rd query the 5v supply for generally sensors is there a limitation to how many sensors you can run off this 5v supply? i've noted from factory it is spliced into 2 wires, if i run 10 sensors that require 5v feed for example do i just splice this 5v feed 10 times? Does the same go for the green sensor ground wire and seeing as A/B plug each have their own grounds are the sensors required to be grounded relative to the plug they came from? New to using link and wanted to confirm rather than assume Appreciate any assistance
  23. I’m setting up my NS13+ in my S14 and wondering what type of wideband Lambda controller to run. I want a gauge. Can I run a gauge from either the Link CAN Lambda controller or one of the outputs from the ECU? or is it best to run something like a Innovate or AEM gauge with a analog input into the Link?
  24. Hello i have link extrem G4+ and i cant make the configuration to make my ecu read the dash i only used the file coming with the dash ( default black linkg4+.aemcd7). To conect. And it worked fine but i need to add new channels to the dash link fuel lvl methanol tank indecator, flex fule %, fuel temp, lunch control status, antilag status, E-boost map Status I cant add them to the default file so i need help to add the new channels all of them connected and working on the ecu software but i cant send them to the dash
  25. Hello chaps I’m having some issues connecting my extreme ecu with my race technology dash 2 display. I have the link canser lead so I can connect the ecu into my laptop and open the PC link software, change the CAN settings and apply the settings to transmit to my Dash 2. I also have a Race technology CAN interface lead which is Pre programmed for the Link G4+ ecu’s. So when I connect the Canser lead in and connect to the RT CAN interface lead it won’t connect to my ecu or dash 2. So I’m assuming that the serial connector on the canser and the serial connector pins don’t mate up? Or that I’m missing somthing else Any help wuld be great so eat so I can read my ecu settings on my dash 2!! Thanks
