  1. Not super fancy, but I use a math block to filter my speed signal with the average function (av). Works really well.

  3. The pressure compensation is non-linear and applied to the pump current before conversion to lambda (also non-linear) so it is a fairly complex relationship, generally done with look up tables. I suspect that RBR calulator linked above uses some simplified equation as it seems to give very optimistic results for the NTK sensor. They are typically about 4 x more sensitive to pressure than the LSU4.9 in my experience. For the LSU4.9 there are a few slight variations of the pressure compensation curve but this is the one that is generally used from what I have seen: So a couple

    IS300 can issues

Hi, I have a IS300 myself, although not running the xcessive/panicwire pnp kit, I repinned my loom to the right headers to suit. I don't have any issues.. It sounds like to me that the MPX isn't wired correctly on your loom and/or not going to where it suppose to go. Since you are using the IS300 2JZ loom, and using the panicwire patch loom, Check out pins E-5 (MPX1) and E-12 (MPX2) on the Link/Altezza header side loom, , make sure they are connected to the body loom and goto the body computer. On the IS300 loom side they "should" be connected to E4-21 (MPX1) E4-20 (MPX2). I'd unplug the

  5. For Lambda 2, unplug the first lambda so that only lambda 2 is connected to the bus, (you dont need to change anything on the main Mode tab - leave only one channel set to Link CAN lambda and ID 950), then go to CAN devices tab, click Find Devices, when it finds the device, change the parameter drop down box to "Lambda 2" and then hit the send button. Press apply, ok, do a store, power everything off. Plug all CAN lambdas back in and re-power up, both should now be identified and working. For power, prefereably they should just be connected to an ign switched source - let the ECU contro

Yes, I want to start using traction control, so that needs at least 2 speed inputs, so 2 Digital Inputs. It is waterproof, been exposed to a lot of typical English weather, so lots of rain!

    Launch control and DI

Here's a snip from one of my log files which shows some low speed. The yellow line is from my 4 pulse per revolution, the purple from my prop-diff pickup. As you'll see, as soon as the rear detected movement, so did the front. By 15mph they were both practically identical, despite the rear having nearly 4x the resolution. Whether that's enough for you, I can't say. I decided I wanted more pulses per revolution, so have made modifications to do so. You probably could attach this sensor to the thin metal backing plate, it's fully threaded so you can adjust the depth accordin

Usually best to have and arming switch or another option is to use a virtual aux. Yes, for speed base launch control this is why non-driven wheel speed is suggested.

    Launch control and DI

You cant use a GP speed as non driven wheel speed. Change your DI2 function to one of the wheel speeds - say LF wheel speed. The go to the chassis and Body folder, speed sources, and set non driven wheel speed source to LF wheel.

  14. Yes, Ethanol, APS, and a whole lot of statuses from cruise/traction/antilag etc have been added on to the end of the existing generic dash stream. This means older devices (G4 etc) are still compatible with a dash that supports the new modified stream. The detail is in the help file. You should pass it on to them - I believe another user already has but I assume the more that chase them the better your chances.

  17. Probably my biggest annoyance with the Link software so far is the fact that if I change the load or rpm break points on one table (for the sake of argument fuel table 1) - I typically would like the option to use these same axis settings on the timing table 1, or fuel table 2, etc. If I enable per cylinder fuel trim tables and per cylinder timing trim tables - having to reselect and rescale the axis on each one which is another example of this same hassle and takes extra time. If there were an easy way to copy axis settings from one table to another or when changing axis of certain tables s

  18. "Home position" or "zero" for the intake cams is fully retarded against the mechanical stops. Anytime the solenoid is not energized the cams will be at home (typically anything less than about 35% duty cycle). Typically at idle and at high RPM they will be fully home. Once you apply more than about 40% DC to the solenoid the cam will start to advance (More DC = advance faster). I dont know what the max advance is on the EJ's but most engines from that era would allow 45-60deg advance (crank deg) from home position.

    Fuelab Pump 92902 PWM

Update... Everything seem to be working correctly as far as the fueling is concerned. I did change the Hz to 1000 like was recommended. I also am now running the FP in Open Loop... for now. Lastly, I did update the firmware. The "FP Speed (%DC)(%)" does still show the "reverse" for me. As the actual FP speeds up, the "FP Speed (%DC)(%)" goes down. Min DC clamp at 30% so "FP Speed (%DC)(%)" shows 70% and ramps up to 100% by 30% Inj DC.

  29. If you are doing it with a virtual aux then put the virtual aux on the axis of a GP limit or 3D RPM limit table. With the virtual auxes "1" means off and "2" means on. Example below I have set the main RPM limit table to 3D, virtual aux 1 on the y axis. I have a 8000RPM limit when VA1 is off, and a 4000RPM limit when VA1 is on.

    Random questions

Early models had a 6 tooth crank and 7 tooth cam. Later engines had a 36-2-2-2 crank and there were various options on the cam. But the common cam option is what we call "V7-9" which has 2 teeth on one of the front cam sprockets.

    USB PORT SHORT

Only CAN2 port has 12V on it so you must have the USB cable plugged into the CAN2 port. The USB port is quite clear, it is on the underside of the top board and there is a big arrow pointing at it.

    g4x fury ports closed

On G4X, it is different than G4+, you must go on a function and then assign a pin/port. If you want your analog volt 3 to be your TPSn then go to function TPS and assign it to AN Volt 3 for example the tables you show is only an overview, that's why you cannot change them.

With the resolution set to 1440 x 960 I can finally see everything properly without the scaling issues using the default / recommended resolution. I've attached the default layout adjusted for the 1440 x 960 resolution Default 1440 x 960.llfx

    Overboost suggestions

Stage 2 is P&D control, stage 3 is P&I. Stage 2 intent is to control the final approach to target, if you are overshooting target it is usually stage 2 settings. Stage 3 intent is to keep the boost on target once the target has been reached. In laymans terms, Proportional is how much the ecu adjusts the DC based on how much error there is. Too little P = slow to reach target(or never reach target), too much P = overshoot or oscillation. Derivative effect I find easiest to imagine as how quickly the ecu pulls back the DC when the boost is getting close to target (kind

    sensor cross reference?

For temp sensors there is a bit of info in the help file page: Technical Terms and Reference > Sensor Calibrations, but at lot of the time it just comes with experience... For the oil press/temp, I suspect you have a PST-F1 (not the PST-1 map sensor?). These use a common industry standard calibration. Set the temp input to "Std Bosch NTC", set the pressure input to "1000Kpa TI sensor". Factory water temp should be "Std Bosch NTC", a quick way to check is measure its resistance at room temp (about 20°C), it should be near 2500 ohms. General motors generally use the "Delphi A

  48. you should contact the realdash developer to get it addressed, you can find the datastream layout in the link help file under "Technical Terms and Reference > Communications" where it states DI1 through DI6 speed streams are transmitted in KPH. Gear position is also sent in the stream so it's up to the developer to get it sorted, not Link Support

  49. I had time to play with this today. It looks like you can make it work as is. In the ECU's that dont have the serial data stream settings visible In PC link, it seems that the "requested short" data stream method is enabled by default. Realdash is compatible with that. In PC Link set the baud to 57600. In Realdash set the baud the same and set it to "use short datastream". Let me know if it works for you. I tested it on a couple of my test ecu's and it seemed to work.
