  1. Went ahead and wired ecu straight to fp relay. Got the settings right in the ecu and problem is 100% resolved. Thank you guys for all the help.
  2. Tinkered with it some more. It's still not working properly in standard mode like I thought. I'm theory I should just be able to bypass the fuel pump control module and just use the fuel pump output to trigger a relay for the fuel pump right?
  3. Adjusted the tune. Put in a new cam sensor nsame result. Did some more digging. It looks like the non turbo Impreza chassis I have has a different fuel pump control module than a wrx/sti. So the base map 3 speed pwm strategy was actually turning turning off the fuel pump at 3k rpms. Set it to standard and it now revs up just fine.
  4. Still waiting on new wideband to show up. But I changed the settings in the tune. Got the engine running again. It's a little rich at idle but it's running. Still not reving though. I was looking at things and it looks like the injectors are still being commanded on when the "limit" happens. Old wideband is showing full lean spikes when limit happens. Fuel pressure is holding steady around 44-46psi when limit happens. Verified timing again with timing light. It's spot on. I don't seem to be getting many trigger errors to support my theory of a bad cas. And I'm suspecting it's losing spark though. It also pops sometimes when it starts reving again, like it's continuing to get fuel and loses spark. I will update again when new wideband and cam sensor shows up.
  5. I ordered an aem 0300 kit. So I'll be able to log lambda here soon. And I've located a different cam angle sensor to try out. I'm still leaning towards it being a cas issue as when the engine isn't up to temp it will usually rev a bit higher, up to around 5k. When it gets up to temp it won't go over 3k or so. I've also made the changes Adam suggested to the tune. Once the new wideband gets in I'll try it with those changes. If it's the same thing I'll put a different cas in and hope for the best.
  6. Im guessing I messed up the dusp table stuff when I copied my tune over from my old g4+. I'll get that sorted. I'm thinking it's a cam angle sensor issue though. As I took it apart to inspect it. Bearings are very crunchy. I sprayed it out with electronics cleaner and it revved up to almost 6k a few times. Then it started going back down to 3-3500. I'm gonna try to source another one or change to a different trigger setup to verify.
  7. Yea Im thinking the 30-0344 isn't outputting to the ecu properly. I have the can stream side set up following the help file. But it looks like the gauge itself has different outputs than the regular x series because it's the OBD2 variant. It's also not so much a misfire, it seems like a soft limiter. It runs good and revs good under this limiter(considering it isn't tuned yet) The wideband gauge also showed 10/11 afrs when it happens. Free revving the engine it will just cut out until the rpms drop a lot then it seems like the ecu turns everything back on.
  8. Hey I'm using a wrx11x to run an rb25 in my Subaru Impreza. Everything seems to be working fine. But the car won't rev over 3k/3500ish. It cuts out completely, drops a few hundred rpms. Then it will start revving again. I've changed the rev limit around. I've even disabled it. Doesn't seem to change anything. Am I missing something? Or could it possibly be a fault with the cas? Oh and another question, is it possible to use an aem 30-0344 OBD2 wideband gauge over can bus with this ecu? I've also attached a copy of my tune and a couple logs. Thanks. wrxR2 low rev limit.pclx rev limit.llgx TriggerScopeLog.llgx
  9. I still have the abs unit in the car. It just won't be getting any wheel speed Inputs. And I'm only worried about the Speedo working. If there are abs/track lights on that's fine with me. And I'm guessing I would just need to do a single digital speed input to the expansion header then we could try to use that over the can network?
  10. Currently have a g4x in my 2009 Impreza. Making it into a drift car. Currently have 350z rear hubs, so no abs sensors there. Front angle kit will remove front abs sensors as there isn't provisions for them. I'm expecting this to render my speedometer useless. I am curious if anybody knows if there would be a way to regain the speedometer function by using something like a driveshaft tone wheel and sensor. Or would my best bet be to try to add sensors to the front? I'm not sure if the ecu sends speed to the cluster or if the cluster gets the signal from the abs module first then sends it to the ecu. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  11. Just wondering if I can copy the ve and timing values over from my old g4+ map to my new g4x ecu? I'm sure it isn't possible by loading the tune file. But I'm mainly wondering if the g4x works close enough to where I could manually copy over my tables to the new ecu and have a good starting point to retune my car? Engine setup is essentially the same. Only change is the ecu. Thanks.
  12. Just looked at the ecu Pinout again. Aux 3 and aux 14 are right next to each other so I'll switch the pins. It seems like I can't use aux 14 to boost control. But it looks like it should work to control the vtc solenoid.
  13. Ok awesome. That would make sense why I couldn't find that option anywhere. I'm still learning the g4x software after so many years of using a G4+. One more similar question. I also have my boost control solenoid wired to aux 14(purge solenoid pin) as this chassis doesn't have wiring in the bulkhead loom for it. Would I be able to use this method to use aux 14 to control the boost control solenoid or would it be a better idea to swap pins at the ecu connectors? Thanks again for all your help
  14. I've tried disabling the aux 3 vvt functions that come in the wrx11 map. Turned off vvt. Aux 3 remains locked. On my old g4+ I was able to just double click the aux channel and assign cam-switched and set the switch conditions. But i can't seem to do this on the new g4x software.
  15. Ok so I'm putting an rb25det s1 into a 2009 Impreza using a wrx11x plug in ecu. I've made the loom, trying to set up the map so everything works right. As it's an Impreza the wiring is a bit different than a wrx/sti. So I've had to move some stuff around. I'm trying to use aux 3 to control the vtc solenoid. But aux 3 is locked in software. I'm just curious if there is a way to unlock this so I can use it or would I need to use a different output? I'm building off the wrx11x sample/base map and I'm not currently connected to the ecu if that matters. Thanks for any and all help
  16. Ok perfect. Looks like I have my work cut out on this but sounds like it's gonna work out nicely. Thanks for all the help with this.
  17. Looking at the wrx11 Pinout it appears most things are taken up. I know that i won't be using most of the avcs and cam sensor stuff. Would I be able to repurpose those aux outputs into injector and coil outs so I can retain sequential ignition and injection? Because it looks like some of the injector and ignition outputs are used for fans and some other things. The wrx11 ecu sounds like a great idea as it would help with keeping the car dbw too.
  18. Didn't realize that. I've been dealing with g4x ecus at work for subarus which is why the wrxv11 can mode was fresh in my mind. But yea that makes sense. Hypothetically if I upgraded to a g4x ecu though would it then possibly work? By the time I got a can dash and a mako or other brand dash mount the price difference probably wouldn't be much different.
  19. Ok so I have a series 1 rb25det running on a 300zx g4+ plug in ecu in my s13. I just wrote off my s13 drifting yesterday. And have the idea of putting my drivetrain into a 2009 Impreza hatch. I was wondering if I could hook my ecu up to the car side can bus wires and run the wrx v11 can bus in the ecu to allow the cluster and stuff in the Subaru to work off the 300zx g4+. Currently the only thing hooked up to can bus is an aem 30-0301 can wideband. Thanks for any and all help.
  20. Yes using linear cal table 2 the map is set to that. 0.5v = 0psi and 4.5v=60psi. And I did the map calibration process after selecting that table.
  21. Ok so with the 11x key start can stream setup on can 2, the temp gauge is now working, and the abs lights went off. But the security light came on. If I remember right I may be able to reset the security light. But if not I can live with it now that the temp gauge is working. I tried button start as well. With the button start can stream the temp gauge works on can 2 but the abs lights turn back on.
  22. The new map scaling is working good now that I input the injector data from that injector dynamics xlsx file. Had to adjust the ve table a little bit but not up to 88 like before. I have tgv deletes so I will turn off the 4d table. Just turned off the iat trim table as well. I had it on multifuel because I plan on adding a flex sensor soon. If I need to turn it off for now and tune the ve table first I will do so. I'm running a haltech(gm) iat sensor. And it's tapped into the top mount intercooler. It appears the intercooler heat soaks quite badly sitting in place. But driving around my iat shows around 100*f(38c). I have the Delphi ac iat sensor selected which I be lieve is right. The map and bap are within about a half psi before I clicked on calibrate map sensor with the new linear cal table.
  23. Ok I'll give that a shot. The injectors are Cobb 1300x2 which are just rebranded ID 1300xds. So I used the dead time data from injector dynamics when I set up the dead times. But from what you said it looks like that might not be the end all be all. Injector dynamics does have a .xlsx injector data file for the link g4 which I found but haven't tried yet.
  24. I didn't realize I had it set up on both but I'll change that. And yes I have access to a tactrix openport 2.0 dongle.
  25. Also do you have any idea why with the new linear cal, with it reading more vacuum at idle, that I would have to increase the fuel ve table from 48-50 to 88-90 in the idle cells to regain a mid 14:1 afr? And from my passed experiences that's very high for the idle part of a ve map, not leaving much room for added fuel when in boost. The engine displacement is correct(24**cc for 2.5l), and I have Cobb 1300x2 injectors. Which I'm pretty sure I entered the dead times in properly for.
