Ive set up E-throttle and have run through the calibration stages and have encountered an issue whereby im getting an Error 76 which i read as relating to a variance between the TPS1 and TPS 2 signals. Apart from this fault ( and the fact that when the fault count gets to 100 the throttle turns off ) it all appears to work fine in setup mode, with run mode on the throttle as it works without engine running, albeit the throttle is quite noisy (humming noise, not sure if that's normal ? ) So my question here is, Is there a parameter that I can change to remove this error, or should i fit another throttle body as this one might have an issue? ( it was working fine in donor vehicle ), or am i missing something ? FYI: pedal is working fine as far as i can tell ( BMW E46 pedal, and Throttle is VDO unit from BMW M62. I have the TPS Sub set to 100%, although thinking about it, this might need to be adjusted to 95% as one stops slightly before the other. I dont have a logfile, but can run one tonight if that would help. Thank you in advance for any help. Cheers.
  2. Thanks Adam, and can I take it that the capability of the on board E-throttle control is solid ( its a fairly old model ecu now ) and I don't need the separate E throttle control module right ? cheers Andrew
  3. Hi, I've had conflicting reports about the ability of my G4+ Xtreme red to handle an E-Throttle. Can you please confirm to me that my ECU is capable of running an E-Throttle setup or not? I know there's a separate module available, would that be better to use? my use case is a circuit race car and I've heard that there might be issues around the granular control of the throttle? my ecu is this one G4+ Xtreme Red f/w 5.6.8.3668 s/w 5.6.8.3669 if you could please confirm this as I'm not wanting to act based on rumor or comment's, rather get the correct info from here. Hi there, For my race only car: I already have a launch control setup which works great using clutch switch DI, but i also want to have another DI to use for pit lane speed limiter. is this possible? I dont have any form of speed trigger / sensor, i.e. i only have RPM and Gear so from what i can see i cant use any speed limit options? Any help will be appreciated Thanks Andrew
  5. Hi Adam, i'm trying to locate a extra small torx driver to get the ECU open. If the cores on the lead/cable are individual, and only green and white are connected, then wouldn't that be the same as disconnecting the 3 cables at the JST connector? i cant see how that would make any difference? or i could strip the lead right back to the plug end and cut the extra cores. thanks for your help.
  6. Hi Adam, its a wire in ECU. If the cable is causing the issue then how can i connect a CAN bus? i would assume the cable is only x cores connected to the socket? cheers

Hi there, Im trying to run a Powertune dash on my G4+xtreme, i've purchased a CAN cable (Link 101-0019 ) and have set the ECU CAN settings to the settings as per the Powertune manual, but each time i plug in the CAN cable my PClink drops out / goes offline? Ive tried the 120 ohm resistor across the powertune dash with no change, even with cable only connected ( with each core disconnected ) the PClink drops off straight away. this is the first time ive plugged into the CAN port on the ecu and im not running any other CAN devices. what am i doing wrong guys? thanks for your comments. cheers.

Hi all, Im trying to re calibrate the trigger offset on my G4+ Xtreme and i'm unable to save any changes? the engine is not starting so im trying to do this whilst cranking, maybe that has something to do with it? I open the calibrate screen, go to set base timing, and type in a new setting ( changing -60 to -50 ) and when i select done, it simply takes me back to the calibrate window without any changes. Both offset and ref timing have padlock icons, i've tried the right click unlock but same issue. Any advise will be most appreciated. thank you. Andrew
