  1. I have a MFD32S dash with a G4+ GTRLink, does anyone know how to get the dash to display N and R ? All other 6 gears of the sequential display correct, but N and R and just a - Dash is reading generic can stream 2 mostly fine, but I also would like Ethanol content to work ! Link file ; https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AXEBJOlP44iSH5QzX3ieuAV0eTcXU4es/view?usp=sharing Dash TRI file ; https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QL93vWIEWSYu_gA2i9Cm29FNq4oG5m4Q/view?usp=sharing Thanks
  2. I had the buttons setup with resistor network and the set button is NC, so it sent the voltage the other way when pushed, maybe the analog button definition/steps doesn't like that ! Now I have the DSS software control over the pullup resistors on the DI's I re-pinned it all to digital setup, and inverted the CAN message logic for the SET button, cruise now works fine.
  3. Apparently this new device is different to the other can check expander I have, that's a CFE18, this is the MCE18. I got the DSS software hooked up and then rang Peter at PT Motorsport, he was very helpful and remoted into my laptop to confirm, with the 100Hz, 3byte frame and 255 multiplier we could see in the DSS software live data can messages were turning the Aux's on and off, however with a multimeter on the pins they were not changing, so it looks like a faulty board on Aux2 and 3, new one is being sent out from Germany.
  4. I can't seem to get cruise control to become active, logs show cruise on going inactive when set switch is active... Does both the brake NO and NC inputs need to be assigned ?, car only has NO brake switch which is connected and working, no cruise cancel input is setup as having a brake switch should work !? logfile ; https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Nktsc0Vd60oUM5HgedE8LJ3mKpfPf5wZ/view?usp=sharing tune; https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L3r7nt5Enbb8pzat-zeKRrsGS1SGorqa/view?usp=sharing
  5. I do have this same version 0.8 MCE18 in my G4+ subaru, it worked when you did the can setup straight off and I'm using all 3 CAN Aux for fuel pumps fine; ;https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EudL9fx2WBCkz02MR3PEV51LB6A1Jl2w/view?usp=sharing I have the G4X set-up like this.... CANAux2 works fine, but 1 and 3 have some sort of weird relationship, if I assign aux1 with 3 assigned it turns off !, but other wise doesn't respond. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L3r7nt5Enbb8pzat-zeKRrsGS1SGorqa/view?usp=sharing I've tried duplicating the can set-up from the + to the x, but then no aux works !
  6. I emailed PT motorsport, and they do confirm that there is option in the DSS software for pullup on DI's that can be changed, I already made a resistor network and used a AN so the buttons work now ! Also he suggested making sure its sending on ID 0x640 (1600) at 100hz and the frame length needs to be 3, I changed this and now Aux2 functions as it should, however Aux1 and 3 get pulled down as soon as they are assigned to something and don't respond to on/off tests ! I assume there is still something wrong with frames !?
  7. Right now all the DI's state they are active, if I use a 1K resistor to GND they go inactive, and active when I pull them to 5v Is it possible somehow to get them to be inactive without the pulldown ? Also the SET button is a NC switch(diagram attached, i'm not using any relays like that diagram), can the CAN DI be configured to be active when NO ? Last issue is the Aux output's don't seem to work....runtime values show in CAN Aux1 goes on and off, but nothing changes on the MCE pin, tested with multi meter also and nothing low or high, tried all three aux's and pins... any suggestions
  8. Thanks Adam The MCE has been programmed to 1Mbit already to go on same bus, I should have mentioned that above, should be a easy fix I guess just change MCE rate in what you have set-up ?
  9. Hi Adam, can you please assist with getting the can checked expander set-up in a G4X extreme, I have attached tune file, I have https://www.ptmotorsport.com.au/product/can-checked-mce18-with-connector-canbus-function-extender/ version and want to run things on the other side of the dash, mainly for cruise control(have an old school GM stalk that suits the car(48 Chev 3100) its just switches. Can one of the Can checked outputs produce a Tach signal ?, other 2 outputs need to be cruise active light and AC clutch relay. I also need digitals inputs - AC request, cruise on, resume accel, set coast, brake, nitrous arm... be nice to have all the 8 digital inputs and 9 Analog inputs configured so they can be used. https://drive.google.com/file/d/14ypQwB5fE-_5Kyx_mVAZdKGqGY5-pm61/view?usp=sharing Thanks Justin
  10. Thanks Another question, I'm installing a coolant pressure sensor using the bosch combined temp/pressure sensor, and I want to use ANV13 as the pressure input... which sensor ground should be used ? ie does the sensor ground and 5v on plug D need to be used with ANV13+ ?
  11. Hey Adam How do I calibrate the signal to show Amps(or just a number that is amps) ?, sensor reads -30A-0-30A, 0.5v-2.5v-4.5v or 66mV per A from 2.5v.
  12. Hello I have bought a cfe18 v0.8 as I wish to free up some av and aux outs, has anyone set one up and can tell me what can streams I need to add ? I wish to use a1-4 for fuel pump current monitoring(0-5v arduino hall effect current modules) and out1-3 to switch pump relays on the cfe18, its on CAN1 at 500kbit/s.. Translation if the below page is the only one that mentions the v0.8 model with outputs.. https://www.canchecked.de/cfe18-can-switch-board/ eg33 canchecked.pclr
  13. Just revisiting the EMP Pump CAN control after talking with another guy that got it working with a M130, his pump was an older version that ran at 250K. I have tried my EMP pump, which was originally on the BUS set to 1M at 500K and 250K, the bus seems happy at 500K as errors go away, but I still can't control pump speed. I have taken a log, and tune file links are below. During log I changed frequency in table 50-100-10-50. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Z-VUOcvChfkWcCV0IKM8YIZ5wCyrFxrH https://drive.google.com/open?id=12YIyi8SXC8Bi7BOla4NOl28aCWnvFO_N Adam do you have any suggestions on what to try next. Cheers
  14. Set the E-Throttle target to ~7% at 0% AP around 500-1000rpm, is one way to do what you want.
  15. Going to dyno this afternoon so I was checking things over, I noticed that 2nd fuel pump was not turning on when IDC went over 15% like its configured, as in example from Adam above. Can be seen in log and tune & tune file here ; https://drive.google.com/open?id=1NwGuFPcbtIPSnDFMVbRRbMY0Hgye5Q2N Near end of log the IDC is ~25%, but 2nd fuel pump Aux14 does not turn on..its set to Aux13 = 0n and IDC > 15%... Playing around with this it seems the IDC% condition works, but the Aux Value1 = ON for the higher numbered aux's doesn't do anything, if i set it to 3 or 7 it works, but 12 on-wards and nothing ! What am I doing wrong ? For now I have dropped the Aux Value condition and just use IDC%>, which works.
  16. Ok thanks Adam, dash config attached. EG3331.0.zconfig
  17. I put the crankcase pressure sensor calibration back to 3 bar, then did as you suggested and used a math channel to -baro, which now gives correct -ve and +ve vac numbers in Kpa, but adding another math channel to convert Kpa to InHg seemed to screw that up and convert that to absolute where atmo is 30 InHg lol, guess that's technically correct, I'll live with +ve and -ve Kpa numbers. Everything is working pretty well, had to add math channel for lambda's as they needed multiplying by 10 to display correctly. Only other thing is Rev gear is displaying as "15" !, used to just show a " -" in reverse...anyway of making that show an R ?
  18. Right now in logs it seems to maintain vacuum everywhere, but its only on 50Kpa boost 400hp, I certainly do want to be able to see if and what positive pressure happens under high power, How would I go about getting dash readout to show -ve and positive numbers when crankcase gets pressurised ?
  19. Quote from Bill Dailey in an email ; http://www.petersonfluidsys.com/engine-vac-VacRegulator.html vacuum regulator 08-0455 add to valve cover and set vacuum about 12" hg Its a perterson Vacuum Regulator installed in right valve cover....12" hg is a lot of vacuum, turbo builder who drag races turbo V8 said 2-3" hg....
  20. Its a pity they are such an expensive injector !, if they were <$100 I'd buy one just to send to you... Thanks for the offer, will have to wait till someone I know grenades a motor etc to get a free one to send your way.
  21. Thanks Adam, dash works and displays data as far as I can tell right now correct with out driving it(Car has no seats, fabricating race seat mounts). Had to update MXS firmware as well since I went with the latest RaceStudio version, there are so worth while improvements in dash functionality which is great.
  22. Sooo many different figures for those injectors !...wildly different figures, at this point I'm inclined to believe Five-O motorsport snippet info which is .640 @ 14v... Will have to look into this test function of which you speak. Be real nice if link would get one and characterise it with G4+ so it can be settled once and for all, Link tech support pllease !???
  23. Ok went back to racestudio and looked at configs, tried to import your one again and race studio got stuck in a loop with this message ; Racestudio is having a biscuit, looked up latest version and updated to 3.30.12, now it will import your config file, but all the display pages are messed up, seems i can go through and change them back to what i need. I can now see that there is a different ECU stream config, I'll see if it works once i have set up all the display pages again, what version of race studio are you using ? Yes Dailey 5 stage race dry sump, engine idles with ~6InHg / 20 Kpa vacuum, which depends who you ask is too much or too little, iirc Bill Dailey said up to 12InHg, but others i have asked said 3InHg is enough....Haven't touched Moroso Vac regulator out of the box, but it can be adjusted... Crankcase sensor is a GM3Bar, so it reads absolute with default config.....80Kpa absolute at idle which is actually 20 Kpa vacuum !?
