  1. Hi thanks for the quick reply. I will check on that tomorrow! Also, Is it possible that a tps ground could have caused this? When I installed the ecu 3 days ago, I had the car running for a bit with a fault code and when i went to calibrate tps it wouldn’t work so i had to figure out what was wrong. It turned out to be the ground wire on my tps was split and not connected. I’ve sorted that now and have a working tps. Reckon this missing ground could have caused this? Replying to your last comment about the connection. That makes sense. Pin 55 on the harness connector was loose as it had a gap in between contacts compared to the rest of the contacts on harness connector. I’ve since pried both contacts closer to each other. Kinda explains why one side of pin55 on ecu is clean and normal like the rest and the other side where it didn’t make contact, discoloured.
  2. Hi all, just wondering why my ecu’s pin55 is burnt/discoloured. Its melted a bit of plastic surrounding it on head of connector for ecu. I have done some research and on the bmw m50 harness connector, pin 55 is the ignition ground. The link g4+ pin out on my ecu however doesn’t have a function for pin 55. At this point i am wondering if anyone could lead me to the right direction as the car starts up ok and fine, idles fine with the base map Loaded and stored to the ecu. Any help would be appreciated.
