  1. Hello guys I´ll explain the situation. We are a formula student team, and our prototipe has a 600cc Cbr600f4i engine. We use the link G4+ fury ECU for engine management. Because our prototype is a single seater, small car, we have very little room in the engine compartment. This forced us to put the battery upside down, close to the ground. (We use lifepo4 battery, so it can stand that abuse) However, in the last testing, while we were putting the car from the table to the ground (the car is light), we short circuited the battery with the table. The short circuit scared some of us, leaving the car in the table for arround 20+seconds, with the battery shorted. The battery was dead, no problems here. But the ECU, with a new battery, doesn´t turn on. We have a fuse to the VCC, and that fuse is okey, not melted. We tryed to open the ECU case, to check one diode, and with a 12v supply it turns the blue light on, but the ECU won start. ¿Any suggestions? Any help will be apreciated. Thanks in advance. Notes: The ECU ground comes from the negative of the starter of the engine, that its directly conected to the negative of the battery. Also, another digital electronic component of the car has the same issue. Same ground. However, fuel pump, starter, fans... They are all okey.
  2. Okey. We will talk with ktm about that. For what I have search, I could only find this. Thank´s a lot for the understanding. That really helps with our proyect.
  3. Could it be that it doesn´t use a Trigger wheel, and instead, it uses an ignition pulse generator? I cant find any Trigger wheel in the manual. Instead, I found the ignition pulse generator. Here is the photo of the instalation. Sorry for the lack of knowledge, but it´s my first year. Thanks for the help! Edit- It uses a rotor. in the photo you can see the sprocket of the timming chain, and on top there is a rotor like this.
  4. For what I have found, around 16-18 teeth and the crank looks like this.
  5. It has coil for ignition, crank position sensor and MAP sensor in Stock form. I can´t see any cam sensor.
  6. Hello guys I´m a member of the electronics department of a formula student team, and we are thinking of changing the engine this year. We are using a CBR600f4i engine with a link g4+ fury ECU, and we are thinking of changing the engine to a KTM450sf-x. ¿Are this 1cyl engines compatible with the ECU? I don´t have experience with tunning, and I was wondering if anyone could help. Thanks!
