  1. Hi all, Just to be different and to rid yourselves of many issues maybe try something a little different. I have been doing this on G3 to G4 upgrades, G4 ,V Series ViPEC, G4+ and I SERIES Standalone and PNP ecu's. Simply purchase a Windows based tablet, load your appropriate LINK / ViPEC software onto the unit and setup dash display layouts to suit etc. This gives you the ability to display what ever data you wish to display as real time gauges, data logging, Tuning ability, remote log in with Teamviewer with internet access via wifi or HOTSPOT your phone etc. Display any errors n the fly also. You can get fairly reasonably priced Windows based OS tablet for a couple of hundred dollars these days . I use and prefer Toshiba but is only my personal preference. You simply use the ECU tuning lead that you are supplied with when you purchase your ECU, then a standard USB to mini USB adaptor as """""MOST""""" tablets use a mini USB connector. Regards Dave. .
  2. Hi, you need to back trace the circuits that are staying live with the ignition turned off. Normally there will be a relay or relays that have the coil power side of the relay have 12 volts applied at all times. This pin on the relay needs to be made active (HIGH) 12 volts positive only when the ignition is turned on. This is the most common fault / cause of the problem. Regards Dave.
  3. Hi Chris, just a quick suggestion only one of the inlet cam sensors are used for full sequential fuel and spark, so you always have a second sensor spare to use anyway. Just swap the sensor should you have one fail. Or do you have other plans for the setup that you have not suggested. May I ask why you are set on using HALL EFFECT sensors and no MAG RELUCTORS, that only require 2 wires, don't require a reference voltage and generate their own power which creates a sine wave that can be increased with rpm and or air gap. Regards Dave.
  4. Hi Chris, this is definitely possible and in the Boost Control settings now. Also there are settings for gear position settings/setup under CHASSIS and BODY Gear Detection. Regards Dave.
  5. Hi all, I just wanted to let everyone know I am still alive and slowly getting better after major surgery. Hopefully another couple of weeks and I will be able to get back to one of my very favourite past times, helping out with tech support where ever I can. I honestly miss this aspect of my life and has been a huge part of my life for so many years. I miss all the fantastic crew at LINK and can't wait to get back to business as usual. Take care everyone. Talk soon, Regards Dave.
  6. Hi, as I stated the pinout is for a revision 1.4 board. I have attached an RB25 DET NEO ECU SCHEMATIC to help you out as this is all I have. If you can't get the ECU PIN OUT at least you can bell the circuits with the schematics. Regards Dave.
  7. Hi khaled, please find information you require attached below. The Connector block and pin description in the LINK HELP FILE is to suit a REV 1.4 circuit board. There are a few funky things with this ecu. Regards Dave.
  8. Hi Jsiebert, If the triggers are standard same as factory EVO 8 then just select Mitsubishi EVO 7 -9 as your trigger setup. Are you planning to run all 8 injectors at once or grouped stagged or ?????? Crank sensor gets terminated to Trigger 1 Cam sensor gets terminated to trigger 2. I have created a very basic file for you to use as a guide. Regards Dave. EVO 8 DRAG CAR G4+ Xtreme Black.pclr

  11. Hi Melv, I see your problem, I think the HELP file is obviously in need of updating. Injector Aux 7 and 8 are definitely configurable in the software, but what pins are they. Are there any wires in PIN positions 109 and 110. Even in the latest G4+ software the HELP file is the same and a BASE MAP still allows function control over INJ 7 and 8. Sorry I have no experience with this ECU or vehicle. I need Simon or Scott to answer this one sorry. Regards Dave.
  12. Hi Coz, Points taken. Simon or Scott please pass on. Regards Dave.
  13. Hi Ken, Very sorry to hear, there is far to much of this type of BLATANT RIP OFF type business going on. Regards Dave.
  14. Hello, I have not had a look as yet but will do my best over the weekend. Sorry i am not well. Regards Dave.
  15. Hi JohnRambo, I would set the radiator top hose capillary tube thermatic fan switch to activate at 90 deg c. I would set the second fan to be activated via the relay from the ECU AUX O/P and also have it activate with the A/CON on so you have an A/CON condensor fan. Have you no spare AUX outputs including any spare injector or ignition outputs to drive the fans. Regards Dave.
  16. Hi Sutkale, can you please send your PCL file to Simon or Scott at Link or to myself at [email protected] as seeing just those settings you have shown are not enough to get a complete overall picture of your setup. Regards Dave.
  17. Hi Davidv, I was mistaken also, for some reason I thought the team where back next week but they are back now. Yes the LINK software etc is really a very good thing, like any product there is always room for improvement, but without feed back and suggestions from people such as yourself products and software just go stagnet. And that certainly is definitely not the case with this company LINK, the world really don't know what they are missing out on by using other products, Thanks again for your feed back. The idea will be passed on. Regards Dave.
  18. Hi mate, I have downloaded your file and will check asap. Regards Dave.
  19. Hi , have downloaded your PCL FILE i will check over ASAP. regards Dave.
  20. Hi Box, great news you sorted it, not so great about the coils. Regards Dave.
  21. Hi Gerard, if you carry out a data log ( preferably a PC log and log ALL PARAMETERS. Go to your logging page and save the LOF FILE AS TEST LOG 1 DAVE or what ever you wish. You need to then locate where on your computer your ViPEC folder is, I normally set mine up in the C DRIVE. When you have found your ViPEC folder open the folder and there will be a sub folder that has LOG FILES as it's name. Open this folder right click on the log file you wish to send and send to protuning @‌bigpond.com Or you can post it on here just attach file at the bottom of the screen and select the log file from your log file folder. Regards Dave.
  22. Hi Davidv, I fully understand your request, just trying to give you an option until this feature MAY or MAY NOT be added. Regards Dave.
  23. Hi Davidv , do you have you units in options set to AFR or lamnda. Regards Dave.
  24. Hi Blobby, have you checked the HELP FILES in relation to your question. Regards Dave.
  25. Hi, all plugin ECU's have the Knock Control catered for you just need to turn knock control on in the ECU software. As for the setup information you are requiring , best to right click on the title and click on WHAT'S THIS, this will open the HELP FILE and advise and explain on how functions etc work. If you have anymore questions then ask away. As for injector min effective pulse width etc is up to you to try source the information from your injector supplier or GOOGLE. If the engine has been tuned on normal fuel and you alter these settings the tune will change. Regards Dave.
