    Hi,
as I stated the pinout is for a revision 1.4 board.
I have attached an RB25 DET NEO ECU SCHEMATIC to help you out as this is all I have.
If you can't get the ECU PIN OUT at least you can bell the circuits with the schematics.

    Hi,
are you sharing the crank trigger and does this setup have a cam sensor also.
Do you have any errors, TRIGGER or otherwise.
Are you sharing the Temp sensors etc, if sharing temp sensors turn the pullup resistors off.
Have you calibrated the TPS, MAP SENSOR and have you carried out a Trigger calibration.

    Hi Coz,
the Thunder internal G axis sensor is only a new addition, this has just been released and there will be truck loads of development and improvements to be added as time goes by.
I will make sure that the engineers are aware of the negative value issue, what version of FW are you using.

    Hi Davidv,
I was mistaken also, for some reason I thought the team where back next week but they are back now.
Yes the LINK software etc is really a very good thing, like any product there is always room for improvement, but without feed back and suggestions from people such as yourself products and software just go stagnet.
And that certainly is definitely not the case with this company LINK, the world really don't know what they are missing out on by using other products,
Thanks again for your feed back.
The idea will be passed on.

    Hi Joseph,
You will need to terminate the oil temp sensor into one of your AN TEMP INPUTS.
You will need to terminate the oil pressure sensor into one of your AN VOLT INPUTS.
You will need to get the volts or ohms vs TEMP or Pressure data to create CALIBRATION tables for the sensors to work correctly unless they are predefined sensors in the drop down menu.

Dave Kriedeman got a reaction from Grant Baker in interpolation of mixture map / autotune values
    Hi,
are you referring to the MIXTURE MAP only or Quick tune also.
If referring to Mixture MAP tuning, or any of the tuning the ECU does the interpolation on all cells.
The mixture map X and Y values are derived from your main fuel table,so if you want more accurate resolution you can add more load sites to the fuel main table X and Y axis's.
Same as QUICKTUNE, the setup parameters are super critical to the system working correctly.
Turning tune ahead on or off has a big effect.
How many % added to the tune ahead,
Tune ahead position, across, across and right, across and down etc.
Cell centre accuracy cell centre target time etc , etc ,etc.
These functions only work as good as the setup information you put into the software.
Like the MIXTURE MAP, making sure you have setup limiting parameters etc.
EXAMPLE, TPS and MAP, if you lift your foot off the throttle the TPS value will drop and the MAP will increase as in you may have been cruising at 60 Kpa , take foot off the throttle and you have 20 Kpa (increased vacuum).
Obviously the AFR will show up as a lean condition, you do not want this data effecting or showing up on the mixture map or you will end up with incorrect fuelling due to incorrectly deciphered information.
Mixture Map is a quick way to tune but be careful with the data you are looking at.
I try to start with a flat fuel table EG: start with a fuel table with a flat number of say 40 - 50 in every cell.
That way if you look at the surface graph it is just a flat plane.
Having the fuel table cells setup this way, you will be surprised how quickly and accurately the tune will pull together.
A particular cell in a true centred state may start at flat 50 but actually need 52.3 to reach the target AFR.
By having all tables cell values the same the interpolation values are less than from a map with a lumpy surface graph.
So what I am getting at is when the tuned cell is corrected the surrounding cells need very little change to correct themselves and has minimal effect on all other cells around it, leading to a much more accurate overall fuel tune.
As for transitional state changes like TPS increases etc, it is obviously common sense to hold that point until stable and the AFR reading has stabilised to be accurate.
I could rabble on about this for hours however I need to know more information than what you have posted to zero in on how and why for everything.
I don't often use MIXTURE MAP, I do look at the table colours every now and again, but the data log information is what I am interested in most.
Same as QUICK TUNE, set up correctly, I do not use TUNE AHEAD function at all, I adjust time in centre and accuracy but that is it.
With the flat fuel table you will find that in QUICK TUNE it will tune very quickly.
Tune a row and then copy and paste to the next row, you will notice very little change from cell row to cell row.
There will be an obvious fuel trend increase around the point of maximum VE (TORQUE) where the numbers may increase at a more noticeable value changes but nothing huge.
The SURFACE GRAPH will appear a lot flatter than what you probably have seen, but you should not have big troughs and peaks in your graph.
My preferred method of tuning is QUICK TUNE on the dyno and then MATHS/ MANUAL  KEY TUNING from the data logs.
Anyway, that will do for now, I have rabbled on enough.
    Regards
    Dave.

    Hi,
you don't need to worry about confrontation.
Just ring the guy and voice your concern in a manner that does not indicate laying blame on him.
For example just a state you noticed that the engine seems to be excessively hot and it has melted the intercooler pipes do you know what could be happening.
Would you mind having a look at it for me please.
Or PM some one on here or the LINK tech support tem for help.
I can remote log into your ECU check your PCL file and test for you.
If it is indeed a tune issue it wont take long to resolve.

Dave Kriedeman got a reaction from mapper in Paddle shift
    Hi Adrian,
many, many feature requests come through very often.
These requests get put into a prioritised list also future development of the ECU's and abilities by LINK themselves are also factored into these requests, so  sometimes requests can take time to be added.
I will send you information on Paddle shift setup, this took 3 days to configure so you can understand that it is like giving you the answers.
It is because myself and the other dealer worked on this it is not 100% my decision or work that permits me to share this information.
I will however do this for you as you knowing this will not impact us directly.
A lot of control functions and ideas I get , involve many many hours of work with an ecu the latest software/firmware and my simulator.
There are things that these ECU's are capable of doing that are not at first obvious.
I start with the idea and then look at how to go about it and then test with my simulator.
Sometimes I get stuck and call on the help of the LINK TECH support, Simon or the Head Engineer Ashley.
Sometimes I have to admit defeat and realise what I wish to do wont work
You will receive an email from me over the next few days regarding the paddle shift setup.
I have more doctors appointments , scans and tests to go through over the next couple of days.
    Regards
    Dave.

Dave Kriedeman got a reaction from Bram in G4+ Fury or Xtreme
    Hi Bram.
I love the FURY for 4 and 6 cylinder installations.
Having a direct onboard wideband does have advantages.
The ECU monitors the wideband at all times for errors.
If using a standalone unit , one must assume the WB SENSOR is ok.
With the FURY if there is a fault it will show up in the run time values.
You are correct the FURY does use the LSU 4.9 sensors.

I spoke to Ashley and he said the following,
Divide it down by 10, so you could monitor it so at 13.7 volts it would be measured as 1.37 volts.
Will request higher voltage 0 - 14 volt or so.

    Hi Davidv,
I am just suggesting what I do in alot of my applications, solid lifters, forged pistons etc.
You can go to 8000 rpm if you wish, however I would much prefer to use audible det gear and trust the human ear via electronics and then setup the ignition timing from there.

Dave Kriedeman got a reaction from mi16chris in afr changing after tune/drive
    Hi mi16chris,
I haven't looked at your files but it is just a known, that when air temps rise the air is less dense and you require less fuel.
You state you have no IAT sensor, then you can not apply any heat soak or reverse cold air corrections to your tune.
You said cruising your tune was good, but then you left the engine running at your friends house without driving air flow, the latent heat build up in the engine bay and components would go through the roof.
So with heat soaked inlet manifolds etc the air is less dense but your ecu is still applying the same amount of fuel, hence for the rich mixtures.
Now if you look at it from the opposite perspective in winter the air is cooler and more dense.
This means you will require more fuel and you will find your AFR will trend LEAN.
Your call but I advise fitting a TPS sensor so you can employ throttle enrichment settings, for smooth responsive acceleration, also the ability to use TPS input settings to activate Auxillaries etc.
I also obviously strongly recommend the fitment of an IAT also.
Your choice what you decide to do as it is your car, but the precision of your ECU will never function at it's true potential without setting it up properly.
    Regards
    Dave.
