  1. Cheers Adam, Very much appreciated. I'm in contact with race technology about this so hopefully this will get resolved sooner rather than later. Car is going for mapping tomorrow and race on 1st July.
  2. Hi folks, I have a G4+ Monsoon and i'm struggling to get Oil pressure and temp to transmit via CAN to a Race Technology dash 2, (not the pro). The CAN adapter is configured to receive both but i can't get it to display. The Oil pressure is on AN Volt 2, and is a link sensor, the Oil temp is on AN Volt 3 but on a 'GP TEMP' as my 2 AN temp channels are full (water and air). Both sensors are reading in the PC Link software, CAN stream in the set up doesn't really show much and I've got no idea what i'm fiddling with so i'm reaching out........ Many thanks in advance. 2zzmap-current.pclr
  3. Thank you very much for your help.
  4. Thank you very much Adam, I'll give this a go. For the switch for the limiter, I use a Summit Technology Talon switch panel, its 12v but the current output is very low (just enough to trigger a relay), would this work if I connected it directly to the DI?
  5. Hi all, Probably a bit of a novice question but here goes....... My race car has a G4+ Monsoon and I've been managing pit lane speeds via keeping to a certain rpm vs gear. Now I want to incorporate a pit limiter. I have a race technology 3 wire Wheel speed sensor (Hall effect) it has a 12v supply, ground and signal output. How do I wire it to the ecu? also assuming it works correctly, how do I make a pit limiter from the speed signal? Speed would be displayed on the Race technology Dash 2 via Can. I have 4 unused DI spare. Many thanks in advance.
  6. OK it seems like that has done the trick! Car runs like crap now as its been tuned on the high lobe lol, But vvt is working for now and lift point has been set to 5750 rpm so fingers crossed all will be well!
  7. OK I'll try that, I assume that's in the drop down box in the aux 4 set up? The solenoid on Aux 4 that controls 'Lift' is identical to the solenoid the controls vvt on Aux 1. I'll report back once I've had a look.
  8. What I've got happening now is when I run the car, vvt doesn't work. I change the solenoid frequency and vvt works. I turn the car off and when I put it back on the vvt stops working until I change the solenoid frequency again. The whole thing repeats on and on and on. I've done a store to ecu every time I change the frequency. Why is this happening? Bit of an odd one.
  9. OK, I've changed the vvt actuator on the front of the cam. I put AUX 1 into 'Test PWM' and the status light comes on and the revs change. Turn off / back to vvt solenoid and the revs drop. I changed the solenoid frequency setting to 250 hz and it started working, then it stopped, changed back to 300hz and started working again then stopped, went to 275hz and started working again. Unfortunately I don't have any info on the factory frequency of the solenoids. I'll check again later to see if it still operates or not.
  10. Hi Adam, I initially thought the vvt actuator was stuck so I removed it and refitted it using the unlock / locking procedure. I've tried the test with engine running on 'test' but not pwm test, and the revs pick up. I'll try the pwm test in the morning. I know the values in the vvt table aren't correct but it was populated to see if the cam would move at all. The cam angle test came back at 51.3 deg but the tuner had put 50 deg in there so I've not changed that. At the end of the log is when I put aux 1 onto 'test' Cheers.
  11. Hi guys, I've got a Toyota Corolla with the 2ZZ-GE in it and i'm running it on a Link G4 Monsoon. It's an all out race car so no need for the creature comforts etc. My problem is that I cannot get the 'VVT Timing' to work on Aux 1. 'VVT Lift' is assigned to Aux 4 and works. If i do a manual test of the OCV solenoid (Oil control valve) it clicks away happily and you get the 'ON' status, but when you run the car it stays off. The target varies due to throttle position but actual cam position doesn't change. I've tried 3 different solenoids, tried 2 VVT actuators in case the engine builder had left it locked when installing on the cam. The 2zz trigger set up works on the 2nz-fe, I've tried the VVT set up with the 1zz option and still doesn't work. Help as it's driving me nuts. All the best, Liam. monsoon2zz.pclr 2zznovvt.llg
