  1. suggestion, connect press sensor as fuel press sensor and log what is happening. and check fuel correction tables.
  2. lost one afternoon for this, and it was my mistake. test TB on battery terminals and check what is (+) what (-) unpin aux 9 and 10 from vipec plug, and connect them directly to battery terminal (but for very short time for like less than second) if you wire it correctly your TB blade should open, if it is closing, reverse terminals on battery and try again. return aux 9 and 10 back to vipec plug but this time with correct polarity. delete errors that should do the trick
  3. I apologize if it is against forum rules, but i need some ECUs. Used in good condition wire in G4 storm and extreme please pm me if you have any thanks
  4. AXA you have PM looking for more pieces good, used, wire in not pnp V44/ V88 i44 /i88 if you have any, pm me thanks
  5. Scott i understand you completely but i dont understand why is throttle blade dropping below 2.5%? that should be something like screw on mechanical TB? ill try to play with settings little bit, thanks Scott
  6. Thanks Steve, we will move trigger to crank
  7. timing scatter on 24-1 tooth ? on cam where rotating is 1/2 rpm of crank and where is more time for every tooth count ? there is no way to fix this except to move trigger on crank ?
  8. ok i think my probčlems are related with that my e-throttle works only in "setup mode" it cant work in ON mode. problem described here today situation - somehow i get idle in closed loop to work smooth, and i get engine running for half hour, fully warmed up, water 94c, oil 90c engine is idling smooth on 1000rpm +- 50rpm at 2.6-2.8% TPS than i rev it to redline, and release throttle, what happened, i noticed TPS closed to near 0% although in ethrottle target table value is 2.5% and than again CL idle control started to play from 1.5% to about 4%, ok, why 1.5% when minimum value is 2.5% in ethrottle target table? ok first question on my mind was, why TPS is dropping below 2.5% at first place? then i change e-throttle mode from "setup mode" to ON and e-throttle just shut down, and tps moved to if i recall 3.9% which is some default value when dbw motor is not powered. F4 - pressing throttle pedal - nothing, shut down engine, start it again, nothing, throttle is dead, change from "ON" to "setup mode", DBW motor started again and returned TP to 2.7% and smooth 1000rpm. ok, so DBW is not working in ON mode for me i dont care, but how can i prevent TP to drop below desired value? in this case lets say 2.5%? this is actually my main question now. and is really my problem in e-throttle mode, because it cant work in ON mode? thanks
  9. thing is that in open loop is stable as soon i change settings to closed loop idle becomes unstable, and its overshooting idle target. and motor dc% is same for open/ closed loop. that is why i open this topic and asking for help. afr is stable at about 14.2-14.7 ign 14deg
  10. on last log (3rd screenshot) tp main is 65% tp target is 65% - 65.1% yes changes saved between loging
  11. here are 3 logs this is P: 6 I: 0.05 D: 25 two logs with P: 7 I:0.145 D: 25 this looks same for me on 6 - 0.05 - 25 and 7 - 0.145 - 25
  12. you can measure resistance on pins is it 8 pin or 6 pin ? if it is 6 pin than you have GND, +5V, feedback1 feedback2, motor (+), motor (-) i might be wrong it was long time ago i done this with my ford pedal and vw throttle body but its working while you are opening throttle blade with fingers resistance between +5v and ground should be same resistance between +5v and feedback1 should rise resistance between +5v and feedback2 should fall (+) (-) should be short circuit so now you know pinout and for the PID settings, use this
  13. so im rising proportional gain untill i get good response ? then im braking it with derivative gian when it overshoot? and than fine tune it / trim it with integral gain? for now with this settings i have very good throttle response. P: 7 I: 0.145 D: 25 thanks Scott i will give a try and let you know
  14. ok, thanks and curves must overlay perfectly ?
  15. Hi guys, i need help fine tuning PID settings on my ethrottle. maybe problem is that i have too big throttle body and too small engine So it is 2.0 liters engine, and 75mm throttle body (audi - vw W12 6.0 liter TB) in open loop i get kind of smooth idle but cant get it in closed loop. this post can be used as tutorial? my settings are default proportional gain: 7 Integral gain: 0.145 Derivative gain: 25 and idle is bit jumpy (unstable, it overshooting idle target for 400rpm or more it drops below 800 and than jumps to 1200) DBW idle position is about 3.0% for 1000rpm on fully warmed engine (3.1 is about 1100) by searching forum, i found few topics, and i guess lowering integral gain to about 0.4-0.5 should solve the problem ? Please, can you quick guide me how to properly setup DBW to get smooth idle and have good response on throttle? Also can you help me to get slow return to idle after full throttle? What is happening now is, in neutral when i depress throttle, rpm drops fast and drops below idle target and engine almost shuts down. (i can achieve this in main dbw table?) thanks
  16. Unfortunately not yet, owner change engine to B18c with dartons (2.1 liter), turbo, head retainers etc etc (and that took 4 months ) but problem remains, and he is driving car like that now. he had no time to test AEM with drill but we will test it, i will let you guys know when we do it. For now we are suspecting on AEM EPM, and thinking to setup external trigger wheel on crank.
  17. hm, good idea Simon, i will try with a drill (we have two epm) will try that and let you know. did you maybe jad a chanse to work with aem epm? did you get good signal?
  18. no trigger errors at all car runs fine and smooth but logs look horrible, oh yes, and rpm gauge is jumpy i did try with filtering from 1 lowest to 4 highest, same thing this is log from today with level 4 filter wiring on car is completely new, because we had same problem with honda pnp and stock ecu wiring. This is wire in ecu not pnp, and new install, so i guess it is not hardware related.
  19. Hi guys friend have ITR with B18C turbo with AEM EPM RPM graph on log looks bad, its not smooth, like map for example is there a way to fix that? we changed 2 EPM same thing EPM is hall/optical sensor http://www.aemelectronics.com/products/ignition-components/engine-position-module-epm is there anyone with tuned B18C?
  20. its customer car, ill attach it this weekend. thanks
  21. nope, if there is back feeding, then in 99% of cases you cant turn off engine, and it is usually because of alternator. And i allways check is there back feed, and in this few cases ansver is no. nope ->ECU controls --> ECU log file download no single log in it, and to be sure, click delete all logs (again) power off - on, run the car to get conditions to start logging and nothing, internal log is empty again.
  22. Hi guys, i think it is completely stupid problem and you will help to solve it easy. First thing is that last five or more V44/V88 ecus, firmware upgrade from 4.8.xx to 4.10.2 gone bad. Never goes smooth, and i must repeat procedure 2 or more times. I get message that flash has finished successfully, to cycle power off and back on and than click ok, and after that i cant connect to ecu. I had to manually set COM port and, and only thing i can do is enter firmware update menu. After 2 or even 3 times, the firmware is successfully installed. I realize that is maybe happening because im upgrading from 4.8.xx and not from 4.9.9 fw. But that is not important so much, problem is that after last update on one ecu, engine runs great, BUT internal logging is not working, and it is set like before upgrade. ECU LOGGING --- ecu logging "ON" --- logging rate "50Hz" --- activation mode "virtual AUX #1" VIRTUAL AUX 1 ---function "gp output" --- switch logic "cond 1 and 2" --- sw cond 1 rpm > 4000 --- sw cond 2 TPS > 75% am i missing something? thanks
