    Is it possible for this to be used on a gc8 ver 4 if adaptor loom was made and change settings to ver1-6 timing set up or do I fit newage timing wheels instead Thanks neil
  2. G4 units can only send out can data It can't recieve can data You would need to use an AN input and set it up as wideband on lc1 settings from drop down menu

Usually with the subaru set up If wheels are strapped on flatbed and left in gear whilst strapped What happens, the rock of car whilst moving causes the belt to jump on the crank sprocket thus putting out belt timing Reset belt timing and do compression test, suspect bent valves now if been trying to start it Can usually run a 1 to 2 teeth out but lumpy

  9. Can any of the experts tell me if can can used on this ecu for additional outputs/inputs ie toucan display or additional i/o module
  10. If serial number less than 10000 then it won't work as there is a mod requires to be done to board Link can advise
  11. Been running a G4 storm with no knock input available to ecu and my subaru is fine no issue and was running 1.7 bar of boost I do have a ks3 knock detection in it on dash but it's not linked to the ecu at all as not capable
  12. Make sure the firmware is upto date first

  14. Decapped injectors have a terrible spray pattern as they just dump fuel in not in a spray By proper injectors and get someone to set up a base map to get it started

Redo the compression test and compare values from first compression test If you squirt some oil down the spark plug hole and redo compression test on 1 cyl and value increases it is possible that the rings need done and a hone of the cylinders to seal the new rings It state in first post he had alot of smoke from catch xan that's why I suggest above
  17. Been running a lc-1 wide band sensor and controller for last 5-6 years with no issue Still on original sensor and reading fine still
  18. Remember the g1 can't accept a widenband 0-5 input for its lambda signal Might have a spare v5 lambda depends on where you are
  19. It's a 5v sensor with a found and a pulsed ouptut
  20. Sounds like it's crashed There is a reset procedure Will have a look from a message I had from link HI Neil, It would be worth trying a firmware reset. To do this hold the enter key/ button down (the one at the bottom of key pad) while powering up the unit. This will reset all settings so you might have to reset the ECU type and any alarms that you ahd set up.
  21. What version is the display link When I got mines overhauled it got the latest pcb which can take can input to the display Mines runs on G4 storm quite happily Does the software not show a display link option

  23. Are you still running coil pack on inlet or 4 coil on plug What injector sizes are you running V5-6 are side feed 440cc V7-9 sti are top feed 565cc
