cold start requires about 15%richer and start engine with a closed throttle

i have this issue also and have told simon early last week

some advise mate: you are going to make it hard for any tuner to get correct if you keep tuning your car. The dead times are one of the last things you adjust after you have set up the master fuel and then tune each zone in fuel settings then ignition timing then go back to the fuel again to double check it.
your battery voltage should be very stable during this peroid when you have finished tuning the fuel and ignition then disconnect the alternator and hold the revs stable lets say 2000 rpm as the voltage goes down then adjust the dead times to keep the afr stable to speed this up you can turn on your lights it should only take about ten min to do this after you have done this then go into your accel and then cold start settings then set up the fan and load fuel gains etc
hope this helps
cheers Rosss

hi ive just wired a link extreme to a boss 260 engine in a mustang having problems getting it to run right have counted trigger wheel 36 tooth one tooth missing the engine will run we got timing set but it backfires out the exhaust. had a local guy who installs and tunes alot of links take a look and he seems to think that the crank sensor is not reading the missing tooth properly and is therefore backfiring. any ideas on the cause or remedy to this faulthave you scoped the triggers to check what is happening?

Here are some pictures. It is on a '96 Miata running 8psi. Can someone please help me identify it. I would like to know how I can tune it.Thanks,Nateit is a older model link and is tuneable by using a hand controler these are not available from link any more but sometimes can be found on trademe.co.nz and ebay i have a spare one also but would want at least $500 nz dollars for it plus freight

check you are using ignition switched 12v for the relay power. and not looping the main 12v over on the relay or this will cause a back feed like you have also dont loop wires from one relay to the next relay
confusing aye

six inkectors is no problem, yes you can run as many maps as you like just load each one as you want it from your lap top or you can set up a couple to work from a digital input yes you can have ignition cut instead of fuel
give me a call if you like on 06 7548336

you can over come this by using a di as a anti theft switch to kill the engine with out turning off the ecu.

peer pressure thanks dave

try rolling back to your old firmware if you found it easier i would use the bosch knock sensor it just needs to be tight there is not a spec for the tension. this sensor gives a nice stable knock signal the orientation of the wiring shouldnt matter on the sensor
-
not really untill you get down to about 6 teeth and only then at real low rpm around idle and cranking. i wouldnt go less than 12 on your aplication
-
dont try a nissan as it will be too unstable with the timing chain and dist gear both having play
we have seen honda and toyota dist grafted in to minis a series motors and the work well
-
can we have lamda instead of afr ? i know this is a big job but it is very much needed with all the different fuels we are tuning
-
i have asked dave at dtech to email you
-
email dave at dtech motorsport he is another dealer and imports this dashes
-
hi the 36 -4 crank trigger will work fine well over 9500 rpm
cheers ross

you can use the race pack dash now using a adaptor from them to plug into the current link dash port if needed

Hi chris the std cas sensor runs fine on the 4age i do not see any advantage in running the cank trigger
unless you are building a super high reving ing drag engine over 10,000 rpm
