  1. Hi Cozcorners There is many options, it depends on your requirement. Yes setting Log Trigger to rpm > 50 would work fine. You there using 800 rpm ???? My option is for my race car. So if speed > 25kph start logging until ignition is turn off. Allows the race engine to warmup and NOT record data during warmup, therefore saving memory to allow fast & many data points recording during the race. Possible explanation for your NOT logging, there MAY be a limit in the firmware on the number of recording starts. So once you start recording keep it active until the end. Only one start. Cheers Andy
  2. Hi Cozcorner Option to stop logging on/off during warmup. Change ECU logging on trigger to a Virtual Aux Output. Acts as latched trigger. That is will start logging once over 800 rpm and stay on until engine stops. Virtual Aux # Switch Logic (1 or 2) and 3 Condition 1 rpm > 800 Condition 2 Aux Virtual Value1 = ON Set number to # Condition 3 rpm > 10 Can change the values to better suit your requirement. Hope this helps. Cheers Andy
  3. Hi Adam Thanks for spotting that the Gear Shift was on. Have turned it off as was not using it. Now all good. Thanks again. Cheers Andy
  4. Hi Link Team This issue is NOT about startup parameters. I have done 2 logs. The first log showing PercentageICut goes active on the first application of TPS. All future applications of TPS all OK. Then in the second log applied TPS before cranking (power on and before starting engine). Then started engine and running for sometime applied TPS and NO PercentageICut. This shows in the RPM Limit code there is a "one shot" (latched) condition in the wrong place. Again I hope you will investigate. Cheers Andy Log 2017-09-27 5;45;00 pm.llg Log 2017-09-27 5;45;47 pm.llg

    First Rev Up

Hi Everyone, Question to all other Link users. Trying to determine if it is my setup or not? On the first throttle (rev up) after starting (power on), the engine hesitates (misses a beat) then rev's. Any following throttle / rev ups, is excellent response. Please reply with either yes / no on your engine or comments. Cheers Andy
  6. Hi Simon Sweet Tested and confirmed all good. Cheers Andy
  7. Hi Team Is it possible to Disable the Aux 9/10 Power fault alarm, if both Aux 9 and Aux 10 are OFF (Not in Use) Also for Aux 17-20 power fault alarm. Since increasing Virtual aux to 8, I am using many less actual aux outputs. Since I am not using any actual aux outputs above 8, therefore the +14 Aux 9/10 Red is NOT wired same for Aux 17-20. But I getting these ECU faults all the time, which blinds me to any real ecu faults that may happen. Confirming that +14v Aux 9/10 pin is NOT wired, is ok for good operation of the Link ECU. Hope you understand my request to stop false alarms. Cheers Andy
  8. Hi Scott I run a two level power system, Switch one powers ecu, water pump, able to programming online. Switch two (ignition switch), powers coils, injectors, solenoids, fuel pump, etc. Which presently is via a relay would like to change to master relay but I use the ignition switch input for conditions in some aux output control. Hence would like the option to use the digital input (ignition switch Thunder input) like current ignition switch if assigned to DI 1 to 16. Cheers Andy
  9. Hi Link Team Have just purchased a thunder ECU. Is it possible to have the Ign Switch input (thunder only) assigned a Digital Input number, so can it can be used in logic conditions. Example DI 17 Cheers Andy

    VE calculation

Hi Fant and Simon Reading another post, Fant you do not have a MAP sensor so you need to change your engine capacity by dividing it by 10. Simon With Load = BAP there is decimal place correction required. Cheers Andy

    VE calculation

Hi Guys I was running the above setup about 6 months ago, Had the same problem the VE fuel tables values were very small. So compared air per cyl values and found by reducing the engine capacity from 1752 to 250 cc was able to have VE table around 70% WOT. What setting makes this happen is "Equation Load Source: Load = BAP" Have since changed to Load = MAP and all is good. Solution for you is wait for correction from Link, or change your engine capacity value, or if possible switch to "Load = MAP". Hope this helps and best of luck. Cheers Andy
  12. Hi Ashley Thanks for doing the ignition improvement above, is it possible to also include the "Idle Target Error Table" to have 0.1 interpolation. Cheers Andy Drummond
  13. Hi Scott Running the very very latest firmware. The problem has be around for some time, I just being a bit slow to notify you. Cheers Andy
  14. Hi Team Is it possible to improve the "Idle Target Error (rpm) Table" output interpolation to resolution of 0.1 Will give a smooth idle angle correction. Cheers Andy
  15. Hi Team A small request if easy, to display the active log file name (file name only required) to the left side of the pclr file name on the top line of PCLink. Cheers Andy
  16. Hi Add my support for more virtual aux, Note will more virtual aux's you can nest them, giving you multiple switching conditions. Cheers Andy
  17. Hi Team Have noticed the Lambda avg is not working correctly (it uses only Lambda 2). My setup is ANV 1 as Lambda 1. ANV 5 as Lambda 2. Cheers Andy
  18. Hi Link Team Looking into 3 ways to improve the ecu during starting. As I run a race car, it has a small battery (some are total loss ie NO alternator). As weight is evil. During a race should you stop in the middle of the track it is very important to restart the engine as easily and quickly asap. Request 1/ Under the Ignition mode “Direct Spark” during engine starting, operate ignition in “Wasted Mode”. Benefit; A/ Reduced cranking time. Less than half the time compared to direct spark trigger initialisation. Down to between ½ to 1 engine rev. B/ Each cylinder will burn all its priming fuel. C/ Get more starts from one battery charge. D/ Faster starting, again very critical if engine has stalled. E/ Does not require trigger 2 setup to start the engine. May help during initial setup of the system etc. F/ Most new cars operate like this now. Request 2/ To RESET “Pre-Crank Prime” if rpm = 0 & 1 second delay & Prime Mode = Ign Start Position. Benefit; a/ Allow for quick restart of engine. Easily and quick by one step in turning on the starter (Ign Start Position). B/ Again if driver stalls engine, all he/she needs to do is push the starter button. C/ Fuel priming is critical to have happening 100% of the time to get a quick engine start. Request 3/ If using Fuel Equation Mode = Modelled. The “Post Start Enrichment” is NOT required. But because the Post Start Decay Time Table has minimum of 1 second (divide by zero). The Post start enrichment always operates for minimum of 1 sec. Can a condition be add If “Post Start Decay Time” less than 1 sec Then skip Post Start decaying. Benefit; a/ One less parameter/ tables to setup and tune. B/ Move consistent fuelling during initial starting/running. Also the above will help if start/stop or touch start control is used. Any questions and comments please ask. In advance thanks again for looking into these requests. Cheers Andy Drummond
  19. Hi Ashley Thanks for the reply. I did some tests today, and the following ignition tables (mainly the ones with 0.5 entry steps); ECT Ign Trim, IAT Ign Trim, 4D Ign Table and 5D ign table operate at runtime as 0.5 resolution (interpolation between cells). Confirmed that the "Ign Angle" value (assuming this is the final ign angle after calculations etc) and it followed the steps (0.5) changes of a ign trim table value. Test method was online, power on, 0 rpm, set y axis to TPS (easy to vary) and zeroed all ignition tables, then added numbers to one trim table it a time. So by moving the throttle and viewing runtime ign, you can see the trim values and final ign angle changing in steps of 0.5. Please note as the engine is not running the ecu is periodically resetting the trim values to zero, but you still can see the numbers. Hope you can understand my explanation and find it easy to test.  Cheers Andy
  20. Hi Adding a option to log any of the tables ie T1 to T20+ As I am using some PWM outputs, there is no way of logging their output. If you could select a Table from the "Table Allocation" list for logging that would be great. Or is there a better way for me to record what the idle solenoid, electric water pump etc are doing.  Cheers Andy
  21. Hi again Renew my request for running interpolation to be 0.1 of degree for all ignition tables. As quoted on the Link web site, ignition timing is to 0.1 of a degree. But if using any ignition trim then it is actually 0.5 of degree. As you know spark timing at idle wants to be as smooth as possible, so if you are getting 0.5 degree jumps in timing can cause the engine rpm to hunt. Which can then cause more jumping of the timing and so on. Simon can you please ask the software programmer what is required to change the interpolation setting for all the ignition trims. Remember the Link already has 0.1 interpolation calculation for the main ignition tables. In other words it should be a very simple change. Again trying to make the Link even more better, so any questions please ask. Cheers Andy Â
  22. Hi Team Would like ALL ignition resolution/interpolation all the same (0.1). That is all ignition trim values are to 0.1 resolution. So that the Link timing is true to 0.1 of degree. Reason, there are many. It would be easy to ask the reason why not? Please note, NOT asking for the table entry rounding to change. Let know your thoughts? Cheers Andy Â
  23. Hi Option, On a gp limit table set y axis as aux (virtual) output and x axis as oil pressure. Then setup output for three conditions as you like. I have my output with if ect > 99 or oil low pressure light or oil temp > 115 remember on y axis output is 0 (faulty output), 1 = output off, 2= output on then limit revs relative to x axis (oil pressure). This setup has saved my engine during high speed corner. Since it is logged i was able fix the problem very quickly. hope u can understand, Cheers  Andy
  24. Hi Link Team Just let you know I have been using G4+ on the race track for the last 3 weekends successfully. The above problem is still happening, it is NOT a show stopper. Please let me know that this small issue will be solved with next version release? Â Cheers Andy
  25. Hi Link Am using latest firmware 5.3 on xtreme. The issue is when I start PCLink and go online. That is uploading. The Virtual Aux 2, third SW conditon 3 set point is zeroed (Timer2 > 40) That is the 40 value is changed to 0. Please note circling ecu power is ok, and with PCLink auto connect, no change. Â Any questions do ask. Cheers Andy Â
