  1. G'day legends,

I have a G4+ running my Rb25det neo setup on flex fuel using the modelled fuel mode. The problem im facing is my AFR's lean out after a heat soak. I have 2 logs, one was the first drive of the day with AFR's a bit rich, 2nd was after the car sat for an hour or so & the day warmed up resulting in lean AFR's.

I suspect this is due to my fuel temperature not IAT/charge temp. The reason for this is I have compared 2 identical spots in the logs & the the difference is fuel temp, see below

    Log 1 (no heat soak)

    • RPM: 2019
    • Lambda: 0.978
    • IAT :43c
    • ECT:90c
    • Charge Temp: 44c
    • Fuel Temp: 47c
    • Inj Eff pulse width: 1.084

    Log 2 (heat soak)

    • RPM: 1930
    • Lambda: 1.088
    • IAT :44c
    • ECT:88c
    • Charge Temp: 45c
    • Fuel Temp: 59c
    • Inj Eff pulse width: 1.070

I also noticed the higher my fuel temp was the leaner my AFR's got. I stopped the log but fuel temps got to 63c whilst in my driveway & AFR's went to 17:1. This issue doesn't seem to happen when I have e80+ in tank, only when the E% is lower which was E34 during this drive. I have twin walbro 460's in tank running all the time which I know causes fuel to heat.

The question is, any other thoughts on other causes for this or have I got it right? Then is it possible to build in a fuel temp correction map?

Map uploaded, can send logs across too if needed.

  2. Hi all,

Hoping to get some help. I have a Bosch DBW throttle hooked up to be R34 Gtt with a g4+ & never been able to get the idle just right. It does the below:

     - Coming to a stop it hunts 3 or 4 times before sorting itself out. In some cases it dies. The hunting almost always occurs but the dying only happens when at operating temp. I adjusted the ISC Base position up from 0 to 0.6 for ECT 70+ which seems to have helped with the dying.

    - When rolling in neutral or with the clutch in it hunts the whole time the car is rolling & sorts it's self out once I'm stopped. Here's a log of it, check out from 40 to 1:22. TP is steady, don't have VCT kicking in, can't seem to see something else at play.

    Thanks for your help.

  3. Hi all, I have a G4+ plug n play in my r34 gtt & trying to setup traction control.

I have vehicle speed which is sourced from DI4 & looks like I can set that as any of the 4 wheels to get a speed reading. Where I'm falling short is I need to set driven & non driven speed sources to setup traction control.

Whilst DI4 is currently set as LF wheel speed, do I need to splice into a speed sensor & assisgn it to one of my spare Digital inputs as LR as an example to get both driven & non driven speeds or is there another way to do this?

    Thanks for your help.

  4. Great thank you. I have mounted it & now a little stuck. I'm getting error 5: TPS (main) Movement zero when trying to calibrate the TPS.

I have calibrated APS & can see movement on the E-throttle 1 Target table when I move the pedal. I can also see movement in TP main % when I move the throttle plate by hand. Throttle is set to keep running when stalled & PID settings are as per help guide.

Have a missed something with my wiring or setup? Wiring as per below:

I have the external module wired up as per below:

    • Aux 4 - Signal 1
    • Aux 8 - Signal 2
    • Ign 8 - Ethrottle relay1
    • Motor + & - to throttle
    • 14v from a switched source (I used the 14v wire left over from my IACV wiring)

I have Bosch 74mm TPS wired up as per below:

    • AN volt4 - TPS 1 (assumed this is TPS main)  (error low 0.10v, error high 4.90v, error value 0v)
    • AN volt5 - TPS 2 (assumed this is TPS sub)  (error low 0.10v, error high 4.90v, error value 0v)
    • Ground sensor shared with APS
    • +5v shared with APS

I have 350z pedal APS wired up as per below:

    • AN volt9 - APS main (error low 0.01v, error high 4.90v, error value 0v)
    • AN volt10 - APS sub (error low 0.01v, error high 4.90v, error value 0v)
    • Ground sensor shared with TPS
    • +5v shared with TPS

    Any help would be great.

  5. I'm switching to ethrottle on my R34 GTT with a G4+ plugin. Ive read through all the wiring diagrams ect. The ethrottle auxiliary output setup states to use aux4 for signal 1 & aux9 for signal 2.

I've had a look at the pinout & there is no Aux9. Can I use aux8 which is assigned to my CEL instead or ignition 7/8 aux out on the expansion loom?

If not what do I need to do?

    Thanks for the help.

  6. Hi there, I've been running a link knock light for about 3 years now & it use to work great. It would turn green the moment the engine started.

For the last few months it no longer turns green when I initially start the engine, it takes a engine load/revs to register the engine has started. It's gradually been getting worse & now doesn't register unless it's at full load or at 6000+ rpm.

I bought another sensor but it still does the same thing. Is there anyway to reset the unit?

    Thanks for the help.

  7. Hi there,

I have somehow hidden the "config" & "tuning" pages as seen in the attached. All I can see is the "logging" screen. I have opened previous saved maps & connected the laptop to the ecu but it still only displays the "logging" screen.

Is there a way to get it back without creating whole new pages?

  8. Hi guys & girls.

I have fitted a G4 plug n play to my r34gtt skyline. Whilst calibration I noticed that when I turn the key off the dash lights & gauges remain on, the radio however turns off. The only way to turn it off is to disconnect the battery. Power is still going to the ecu too.

have a auto watch security system installed if that's any help.

Has  anyone ever had this issue before or know what it could be?
