  1. I've recently fitted a new engine to my RS Legacy/Liberty (AUDM) and when I took it to my tuner he found that the timing the ECU saw and the engine timing were 10 degrees different accross the entire tune. THe engine timing with a timing light was in fact 10 deg. higher than the ecu saw. eg 36deg = 46deg. Is this an engine or ecu fault, and can it be fixed? The engine underperformed in comparison to my expectations, so I'd like to know if this would be contributing to it. Thanks
  2. Instead of starting a new thread, and since I'd already put the ecu model up, is there a facility for ambient (seasonal) temperature adjustment? I couldn't see any in the PC link program. I don't tune the car but I'm just interested if it's something that's accounted for. Thanks
  3. I have a PossumLink in my 92 RS Liberty ECU code RSROADQ. I Have the opportunity to get an RA manfold that has the extra injector in the centre manifold, could I use this to give me a bit of extra headway should the IDC of my existing get closer to 100%. Obviously gettting 4 larger injectors would be better perhaps, but a lot more expensive.
  4. RSROADQ 1992 RS Liberty I'm currently using a Mitsubishi turbo (td05) from early wrx, which I'm led to beleive has a 9psi wastegate spring. I currently have a target of boost of 16psi and the tuner is running a wastegate sensitivity of 3 of 10. He found one either side to be either really slow coming onto boost, or give 3psi ossilations either side for 2000 rpm. Is there anything that can be done to counter this in order to get sharp boost, but not get the spiking past/ossilation with it? Would increasing or decreasing the wastegate spring help?
  5. Can I confirm then that a 3 bar Delco MAP sensor is ok with Possumlink for RS Liberty?
  6. I'm looking at replacing factory MAP sensor, and I'm thinking for future tunability I'd put a 5 BAR one in it's place. I'd like to ask about the resolution of the Link MAP sensors. If I only run 1.3 Bar in the short term will the 5bar one lack resolution? Am I better of using off a 2.5 bar one and replace it when/if I rebuild and decide to run more boost later on?
  7. My Friend had his car broken into and they cut through the hand controller. Can the cable be replaced? It was conpletely severed.
  8. MM sounds expensive, don't like the sound of that! I use the car daily and have larger injectors than normal so I can't be without the car for too long. Who are the rgistered link dealers in QLD?
  9. Does the Board on a Link ever become defective? I find it hard to beleive that it would suddenly stop sending a pulse all of a sudden.
  10. I didn't attempt, the tuner did. There is no response from the boost controller at all. Aparantly nothing going to the solenoid at all. No response to tuning at all.
  11. I have been told by two different sources, a tuner, whom I was unhappy with, and a respected subaru mechanic with around 20 year experience. My current boost control is through a bleed valve from compressor outlet to wastegate actuator. This was setup by the tuner. The EBC system worked fine until a change of turbo (vf12 (std rs turbo) to td05 (96wrx)), and a full changeover of aftermarket ignition coils. The link for RS Liberty 92- (RSROADQ). What can cause this? Is there a fix for it? I don't have a map downloaded of it at all. I can tell you the target boost read from a hand controller was 13.5 psi. (not my hand controller) Thanks in advance
