  1. Got a fairly new knock block unit, even when I used it for a short duration like for 30 minutes, later when I charged it the red light would be on during charging. Recently I used it for more than an hour during a tuning session and now when I charge it the red light won't turn on! Does that mean it's not charging? Any possible defect? Blue light still works fine when the unit is turned on.
  2. At normal temp the engine would rev passed the limit set by DI. Attached is the map, I didn't get the chance for a log, I won't have access to the car until after a few days. 01.pclr
  3. Back again to this thread, I replicated what Calvin said in the previous post. I disconnected the WM level sensor plug to induce a WMI error, the assigned DI activated on screen, the lower RPM limit got highlighted under GP RPM Limit 1, but still the actual rev limit went high to the normal RPM limit, it never stops at the lower RPM limit assigned to the DI! Is it been overwritten by the main RPM limit table?
  4. How can I assign a GP limit table to a DI? Thank you
  5. My first WMI tune, using the AEM V3 kit, looking for basic fail safe setup. The green (boost safe) wire is connected to a digital input. DI is set as follows: Input latch: off, pullup resistor: on, on level: low, Active edge: rising The input would trigger two 4D tables under fuel/ignition corrections, adding % fuel and retarding timing. Does the above sound about right? Alternatively, is there a way to induce a rev limit and/or a boost cut?
  6. I need to set dual RPM limit tables (switchable). I have dual fuel/ignition tables, the 2nd set is for low oct fuel, I'd like a lower rev limit for low oct tables #2. The GP RPM limit 1&2 can't seem to be assigned to a digital input like the dual fuel/ignition tables, so I'm not sure how they are activated! Also, when any of the GP RPM limits is enabled, it only yields a 3D RPM limit table, never a 2D! I'd appreciate your advice
  7. Strangely, they are running & idling perfectly fine! It was only after the car got tuned that I found out that I forgot to bypass the resistor box! I'm not sure what to do, keep it this way, or bypass the resistors & re-tune fuel? Any risk to the ECU or injectors with the resistor box connected?
  8. Any downside of using high impedance injectors (ID 1300X) without bypassing the resistor box? Car is Evo 9, Link G4+ pnp
  9. The car is an Evo 8, I can't seem to get launch control right as the car keeps bogging down immediately after launching! I'm attaching my current settings, any suggestions?
  10. Will do, Any final suggestions, anything to try before sending the ECU?
  11. Hardware IDs are identical to the screen shot you posted. I keep getting the regular message "unable to connect to the ECU, please check that the ECU is properly connected, the power is turned on....etc." If I change the connection setting from auto to manual selecting the right com port, I'd get a different message: "unable to connect to the ECU but the USB connection is present, please cycle the power to the ECU." I disconnected the ECU from the wiring loom, but it didn't solve the problem! In a process of elimination I tried the Following: Changed com ports, tried a different USB cable, tried 3 different laptops, installed the ECU on a different Link equipped Evo without any success. I'd appreciate your help Yes, both, blue LED is glowing & the device manager is seeing the ECU once connected
  12. Yes, both, blue LED is glowing & the device manager is seeing the ECU once connected
  13. Got a new, out of the box Evo4-8 pnp G4+ serial # 46955, after activation everything seemed to go fine as wiring & a base file were being prepared. Two days later, while performing some final touches to the base file, PClink (5.6.8.3669) suddenly went offline & I was unable to reconnect! I tried both a different USB port and another laptop to no avail! The ecu seem to function properly but without being able to access it through USB. One important note, that specific USB port on the laptop which was connected to the ECU can't read any other Link ECU now! But it reads other devices such as cell phone or flash memory fine. I'd appreciate your feedback
  14. Yes a smooth limiter is what I need, not looking for any loud sound FX. My goal is to maintain as much power as possible when hitting the limit to have more control. Any concerns regarding the LS3 heads?
  15. Bump guys! Any general tips regarding the ideal rpm limit settings specific to the LS3, ign or fuel, hard limit on or off? Again, my goal is the best settings for a drifting application, something that would safely keep the car going as it hits the rev limit in a small, car-park type of track. Thank you
  16. I will be tuning my first NA engine soon, an LS3 V8, a drift car. I wonder what would be the ideal rev-limit settings to help maintain as much power as possible as the car would constantly hit the limit while drifting in a car-park type of circuit?

    L92 trigger

Does the L92 engine use the same trigger as LS engines (Chev LS2/LS7). I deleted the VVT, & replaced the stock DBW throttle with a cable throttle body, can I simply use an LS3 base map but just switch off E-Throttle? I'd appreciate your feedback
  18. Hi guys, I need some feedback regarding the best way to set the TPS & throttle (cable) on Evos 4-8. After performing a TPS setup, I usually adjust the TPS screw so it reads 12-13% rather than 0% when the TP is fully closed, mimicking the OEM setup of Evos & it seems to help the car idle better this way. When I jack the throttle open for anti lag I usually end up with high cyclic idle TP% (like 35%) since it was around 13% to begin with, does the above sound right? One more question, do I need to disable the ISC stepper after setting a throttle kick & enabling cyclic idle & anti lag? My concern is that an enabled stepper along with a jacked throttle could cause a throttle hang. Thanks

    Lambda Offset

Hi Guys, I have an Innovate LC-2 permanently installed & and connected to AN V4. Suspecting that its reading is a little off, I tested the V output & found it to be +0.03v more than the programed number. The question is how do I factor in such offset in a custom calibration table such as Cal 4? LC-2 original calibrations are 0.00v = 0.500Lambda & 5.00v = 1.523Lambda Thanks
  20. I'm having issues setting up CAN Lambda, I have it connected to CAN2 with the ECU as the source of both power & ground. I press 'find devices' & the software does see it fine. I set is as Lambda 1 leaving the bit rate at default & press 'send' then it asks me to cycle power which I'm not sure how?! Lambda reading doesn't seem to work after that! Reaching that step the ECU would have power in order for the PCLink to work, CAN Lambda would also have power since it's power source is from the ECU. So, I'm not sure how to 'cycle power'? I'd appreciate your advice. A couple more questions, can I set CAN Lambda as Lambda 2 & what is the ideal bit rate?
  21. I'm experiencing an occasional rev hang at full throttle, when cyclic idle is enabled along with a throttle kick. The car is an Evo 7 with a stock cable throttle. Re-calibrating TPS seems to ease the problem for some time before it starts occurring again. A rapid/harsh full throttle push is almost guaranteed to get the rev hanged & then I have to turn ignition off. I'm posting a pic of my anti lag/idle setting, can any of my settings cause such issue? Throttle is permanently kicked open via a screw at around 29%, 'idle low' & 'idle high' were set at those numbers to obtain a reasonable, non-rapid cyclic idle sound. The car retains a fully functional stepper motor, could that be causing the issue? should I override it in the settings? Thanks
  22. Yes, that did the trick Thank you Clint
  23. Driven wheel speed source is set to: LF Wheel Speed Non driven wheel speed source is set to: off Never bothered to check there since my ECU is plug-in & I'm getting speed readings fine on my dash
  24. The car is an Evo 7 with plug-in ECU, the car won't exceed the 5500 LC rev limit at any speed unless LC is disabled! LC settings are: 2D launch RPM table, disarm speed 15kph, Launch RPM table: 0 & 5 are at 5500rpm, the rest are all at 7500 the normal rev limit. I have the stock gauge cluster removed & replaced with the AIM Strada 1.2 dash, connected to the ECU via CAN +/-. The dash seems to be getting speed reading from the ECU fine. Any clues what the problem is?
