  1. Hi hayden i just had same problem with my G4 i just fitted to my EVO5. my post is below yours at the mo. Simon from link told me to check my spark plugs and see if they were resistor plugs. as i found they were not resistor plugs i fitted some plugs with resistors and laptop works mint with engine running now cheers Mason
  2. Hi ive just fitted a G4 storm (WIRE IN)to my evo5 coms are ok when engine not running but as soon as i fire engine up it will disconnect from pc then connect for a few seconds and disconnect again and so on. HELP
  3. If you have downloaded G3 tuneing sofware to your pc from the linkecu website click on file then click on open then on base map. There is a selection of nissan RB maps which you can pick from and store to your link these are a good starting point to get engine fired up. The nissan ignitor can be used the only diffrence between the factory ecu and the link is that the factory ecu has six IG outputs which feed to the ignitor on side with seven pins the seventh pin is 12volts then on the six pin side feed to the coils. When you connect a link G3 to a nissan ignitor there is only 3 IG ouputs to ignitior join 1/6 together then 2/5 together and 3/4 together before input to ignitor then run output (six pin side)from ignitor to coils as normal. Hope this kind of makes sence Cheers Mason
  4. If you are using a G3link you have only got four ignition outputs which means you have to run a wasted spark setup and also i take it you have got the old type coils without built in ignitors. To do this you use ig1/ig2/ig3 from the link to the ignitor. And from ignitor run Chan 1 to coils 1/6. Chan 2 to coils 2/5. Chan3 to coils 3/4. channel feeds go to the center pin of coil
  5. Hi there got rb25 going good nice base tune been good all week owner real happy and getting ready for dyno next week. Owner popped in tonight(friday) with car for a chat and a mate of his turned up too and asked to go for a drive. problems starts here he cranks engine and no go i have a look no fuel pressure. Check power feeds to ecu/injectors/coils/ignitor pack which is all good. Found ecu not earthing fuel pump relay out and earthing fan relay all the time and fan staying so i plug laptop in and no coms with link and also laptop slows down unplug usb cable and laptop speeds up. At one stage it managed to connect a message came up on screen ecu gone to shut down mode or something like that and reset needed. Any ideas please
  6. Hi Ashley i have sorted it out did what you said by changing the fuel rows and adjusted master fuel injectors changed everything. I got a good base tune on it last night and already got a smile on owners face
  7. I am using the link loom as the factory loom is in real bad shape and i have removed from vehicle and started again. So there is no 12v feed to the cas sensor from relay anymore so i used the 8v link feed to cas. Going to sync the ecu is picking up trig 1 and 2 and zero. Should i us rb20 cas or select other when decoding sensor
  8. Hi there I have just put a G3 into a rb30 block/rb25 head with 260cc injectors .Got it running with a few issues but nothing related to ecu just owner of vehicle using old coils/old coil/ignitor loom/and a ignitor that would stop firing number 2 coil after it got hot.Got all that sorted and got vehicle running ok with a base map i had from a rb20. Drove it and found injectors were maxing out at about 4000rpm and only about 7 pounds of boost owner then got some 550cc 13 ohm injectors from a rx7 for me to fit. fitted injectors and now cant get engine to run any good.with the old injectors i was running about 22 on the master fuel but now to even to get it to just run master needs to be around 15 if i go up to 20 engine floods and if i go below 11 engine back fires like antilag. my worker said it was running like that before injectors were changed that morning but i never heard it before i changed the injectors but it was ok the night before when driven into the shop?. Do you need to change the master and complete fuel map as soon as you put bigger injectors in to even get it running i have gone through all of the config and cant see anything has changed i have decoded cas again with no luck. One thing i noticed looking at the nissan cas wiring diagram on your website is the 12volt power feed i have only the link 8v feed to the sensor as per G3 manual says do i need 12volts i have also put trig 1 and trig 2 earths together on cas earth wire is this ok. why did it run ok the day before
