  1. You can configure any An volt inputs, i have AN volt 5 setup using 4bar sensor (the internal map sensor in the RX ecu) Have you wired everything else up? i made the mistake of not insulating the external map sensor wiring which caused a lot of head aches! if using the internal sensor tidy up the other wiring or spend hours of pulling out your hair why the TPS voltage is up the creek.....
  2. While cranking i noticed the rpm signal was dropping in and out, and when i did get it to run it would pop and back fire from time to time. Following some info from Simon i reduced my trigger arming voltage and hey presto she fires up much better. i have set my dwell to 4ms. while cranking and using the standard dwell ms i found the ls2 coils were prematurely firing causing problems. from some research there is an internal function on the ls2 coils that discharge once the the ms excedes 8ms Brad, do you have an ignition map you recommend as a starting point? so far i started with the start up map and just went up and down trying to get a nice start and revving while stationary. with the trigger arming issue i found it very difficult to do the trigger calibration as it was bouncing around too much to be accurate so i got it as close as possible, and once started it still was very difficult to set up. that's my next job now the thing fires up and with a better trigger arming threshold. roger.
  3. Does anyone have the correct ms dwell control time for the ls2 coils? i am having trouble starting my rotary i'm thinking this could be a problem. Its also really hard to perform the trigger setup as it jumps around too much. so far i have found 6-9v is 5ms then from 9 to 15v it drops progressivly to 3ms
  4. Thanks Simon, all up and running now!
  5. No dash is installed, i removed a microtech system and installed a g4rx, so it has been a complete re installation using new sensors and loom etc. i did try the change comport thing in device manager but nothing. i have downloaded that file from the link you gave so i'm on my way into work to give it a go!
  6. Looking for some help, i decided to do a firmware upgrade, it brought up a box, asked if i wanted to update from 4xx to 49 so i pressed the y button. it said the ecu would go offline to carry out the upgrade then in the box it came up and said the usb was configured to the wrong com port - change and try again. so i tried but now there is no friendly blue light on the ecu and the searching icon flashes from green to red and wont connect. Is there something i can do or have i just made a paper weight? there still appears to have a 5v signal output voltage but engine wont run. Thanks....
  7. Hello, hope someone can help. i have read my installation notes and in one section it says the G4 needs resistors installed if low impedance injectors are fitted but if you use the RX G4 (which i am) it says you can wire them up as 'normal'. i have bought some new delphi 95lb injectors - mainly because they are listed in the injector setup menu - and i was going to wire up without resistors until i measured the resistance -2ohms. In the instructions it says 3ohms is very low, so my question is this, can i use these without resistors or will i be putting too much load on the ECU? Thanks!
