  1. HI Again so I have managed to get the engine to start and run on this but have noticed that at idle the rpm reading on the pc link programme is jumping from about 900rpm to 4000rpm very quickly and as soon as you raise the engine speed slightly it comes up with an over speed warning on the pc. Im guessing the rpm for the link is measured off the cam sensor is this correct? and if that's the case do I need to change my trigger setting to suit this sensor? Thanks in advance for your help
  2. Hi guys I have just installed a g3 into my project car but am having trouble getting it running I am using a base map for a vr4 but the engine is out of a turbo rvr and I think it may produce an inverted signal from the cam trigger I have attached scope patterns from the rvr and one from my vr4 could you please tell me if the computer will be able to run this set up and what I should set the triggers to. I have also put the crank to trigger one and the cam to trigger two.
  3. Hi Again I finally have got back to getting this running the car now starts but is missing and backfiring a lot I just wanted to check what the sync/ cyl ratio should be for this application as the diagnostics say it has both signals but the error count keeps counting while the engine is running thanks for the help
  4. Hi just a quick question as the title states I have a G1 link plus im trying to use it to run an early style 4g63t with factory injectors which are low impedance injectors but if I wire in the factory resistor pack the resistance comes to about 8 ohm is this enough for the ecu to be able to run them or do I need to go to an aftermarket resistor pack?  thanks for the help
  5. Hi Simon I thought I would include some photos of my link if that helps and a picture of the style of cam shaft trigger wheel that the engine uses you can see the highlighted red section round the edge of the trigger wheel runs between the pick up sensor. When you talk of configured do you mean the setting of the dip switches on the sub board? Thanks again
  6. ok thanks is there a way I can check if the board is correct or will I have to send it back to you guys thanks
  7. Hi Guys I as the title states I have a 4g63t engine from a rvr its basically the same engine as the early evo 1-3, I have a linkplus V14a I think and im at the point of first start up. I am not getting any spark at all when cranking. In the diagnostic display im get a cylinder pulse but no sync pulse and a really high sync error count. I have double check the wiring and im pretty sure I have that correct. The rvr has a different type of cam angle sensor that bolts to the head at the front of the engine as apposed to the rear could this be causing my problems and if so is there an easy fix for it? thanks for your help
  8. Hi Guys Im in the process of build my project car its an old mitsubishi and im fitting a 4g63t rvr engine to it the same as evo 2 0r 3 so im told. I have the engine and factory loom for it as well as the ecu but i have also just purchased an unused link plus that came with what looks to be an early vr4 (sub board i think its called) that the factory loom would plug into but hasnt been installed. my question is do you think im better off get the sub board changed to suit the rvr loom or should i just do a complete engine rewire and use the link loom as its not being used in a rvr Cheers for the advice in advance
