  1. LEM G3. Wiring diagram lists both 2 pins at the rightmost of the connector as ground. It makes no differentiation as to which is sensor ground, and which is power ground. Yet the instructions in the manual clearly tell you to keep them separate. Which is which ?
  2. Im working offline, V3.4 When I right click to change the load axis, and select "Axis Setup", nothing happens. it wont open a menu to allow me to make changes ? Is this a software bug, or must I be online to make changes ?
  3. bump for any information to help run a G3 on a old Honda OBD0. Even if it means using an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion cable. Although I dont see why that would be needed. Does anyone have pinouts for the Honda ?
  4. Where can I get a patch harness for this ? I want to run a G3 on this vehicle. Early 90's CRX Civic, with B16A turbo. OR where can I source the parts to build a plug in connector ? Does Link supply a patch harness ?
  5. Good stuff...hopefully be using one soon then
  6. Bump....2 months..+2+2+2 have passed. Are there any updates on this ? Any tuning solutions for a DBW car available ?
  7. Is a patch loom available for this and a G3 ? 1990, CRX hatch with B16A V-tec engine. OBD0 as far as I am aware. Turbo conversion, and need an ecu. We have a new G3 that was bought for another car which isnt happening anymore. Where can I get a patch harness and base map ?
  8. Using other peoples maps unless an identical build, is very dangerous. You need to get it tuned properly, and that would take forever with a hand controller. And if you continue to drive the car with it overfuelling, you could cause damage to the engine also.
  9. Have you actually got a good rpm signal, and have you got spark ?
  10. A nice feature with knock detection would be.... If there is a ghost trace in action, use a notable colour change on this trace to indicate knock had ocured in that load cell. Just for fast and easy reference.
  11. As title...any ideas when a unit will be available for this car ?
  12. Werent the factory sensors working ? Ive never had problems with them, on any ecu. Although havent tired the latest Link yet. Have you given the sensors a +5v power supply too ?
  13. weird...I wrote "IF you can" although I'd say you should be able to
  14. you can use LS1/2 coils....they have built in ignitors and are very powerful.
  15. Ive tried a Bosch type.... Audibly....with the LS1, even at low volume, it was stil quite good. Now with a pair of Bosch sensors ( mounted in slightly different spot...but anyway ) sensitivity at full whack, its quieter than the LS sensors at lowest setting. As for logging the output. This is tricky. The voltage log does have small spikes, there is no detonation to be heard though. So I assume this is noise. Im not too keep to induce "knock" though to test it. With sens at 8, I was still seeing some 5v events, but only really above 6500rpm. Im now down to sens 5, but havent had a chance to go WOT due to the weather. Damn rain. if this calms down the trace to lower voltages, hopefully any knock spikes might appear bigger, if and when they happen. I bought a pair of used sensors off a Volvo T5 via egay. The price the Link retailers were selling single sensors for....was a tad high. No offence, but no way was I paying that.
  16. gimme a few days on this. I have some, but they are on another computer. Ive done a couple of SR20DET's on a G2. send me your email addy ( stevieturbo AT yahoo dot co dot uk ) Obviously you will need to baseline your own ignition timing, and verify sensors etc etc, but it should be a starting point.
  17. Maybe unrelated...when tuning the older PossumLink's on Subarus. More often than not, random numbers keep appearing in the maps. Its almost as if fuel and ign figures get swapped between maps in some cells. Its very frustrating at times. Although fortunately the ignition timing max limit should prevent any major mishaps. Occasionally the MAP limit has changed too, from a normal high figure, to little over atmos. USB link in use. Dell Inspiron 8100 Only seems to happen when online with the laptop in my case though. Once stored and offline things seem to stay as they were left. Happened with several ecu's Ive used....perhaps in my case, its a comms issue ? I keep meaning to get a serial Link...but dont use Link that often now, although have a G3 to do soon on an EP91 Glanza
  18. I bought this so I could attempt to log knock via my ecu ( non Link ) Its on an LS1, and using both standard LS1 knock sensors mounted in the valley.. Through the headphones, all sounds well. Nothing untoward. When logging the 0-5v output, even with sensitivity turned right down, anything above 3000rpm, shows 5v all the way. Is this down to the knock sensors ?? Can they really make this much difference ? ( tried it on al freq settings, and it makes little difference ) Engine sound via headphones doesnt let me hear anything that I would say would cause this high voltage. It sounds perfectly normal to me.
