  1. If you want to use the Vipec 'Mixture map' function then load the Link pcl file and saved log file into the Vipec software. Ignore the screen error. Then use mixture map to edit the fuel table. Save it when done. This seems to work for me. You cannot connect to the ECU using the Vipec software however.
  2. Hi Phil I just thought it would be quick to find the right setting using a pot, and easier on my starter than punching in random fuel numbers and waiting for the engine to fire. In the past I have found it to be a useful diagnostic and tuning tool to tell at any time if mixture is rich or lean, especially if there is no wideband O2 sensor and no co-pilot to adjust a laptop. Of course if the mixture pot setting can't be logged, then it is a bit less useful. Are you saying this function can't be implemented on the G4? Regards Jeremy
  3. Hi. I have a new G4 install on my engine which I will be starting for the first time. I would like to connect an adjustment knob(pot) to a spare Analogue input so that I have a coarse mixture adjustment for first startup. Could someone tell me the easiest way to configure the G4 to do this? Should I add another dimension(ie voltage) to the fuel table? Help appreciated Thanks,Jeremy
  4. Thanks for the info guys. I will add the inverter to my Mosfet board as you suggest. Perhaps Link could add the polarity function at some point in the future?? Regards Jeremy
  5. Thanks Phil But I beg to differ about the polarity. I don't have a problem setting 20% as 80% and 30% as 70% etc, but I want to be able to set a condition to turn the PWM off. Unfortunately when conditions are not met the output goes high, which in my case is fully ON. Hence there is no way to turn the output off? Regards Jeremy
  6. Hi I have a General Purpose PWM configured on Aux 5 of a G4 Xtreme. I understand this output can be used for High or Low drive and High or Low polarity. I would like to have High polarity to trigger a Mosfet switch, but it appears that when configured as a PWM neither the Drive nor polarity can be changed. Is that correct? Thanks Jeremy
  7. Hi For Blaster 2 SS, from an MSD engineer on the MSD forum- 10V.................... +25% 11 .................. +25% 12 ...................+25% 13 .....................+12% 14 .............. 4.2-4.5ms 15 .....................-7% 16 ...................-14% If yours is Blaster 1 SS it may be a little different. Jeremy
  8. Thanks for your replies. 1500mA should definitely suffice.
  9. Hi. What is the safe maximum load current for the internal 5V supply on the Xtreme? I couldn't find it mentioned in the manual, and I seem to have a lot of sensors to hook up to it. Thanks.
  10. Hi. I have a factory loom in place on my LS2 Holden motor. I would like to splice the factory loom onto the G4 Xtreme loom near the ECU. However I noticed that the G4 loom has Screened wires to the two Triggers whereas the factory loom uses Unscreened wires. If I use the factory trigger wiring is it likely to cause a problem with respect to noise etc at the ECU? I am pretty sure the output from the trigger sensors is conditioned 0-5V and not a raw reluctor signal. What do you reckon? Thanks,Jeremy
