  1. Hi Has anyone setup traction control using the built in accelerate instead of a wheel speed sensor? Is it good enough?
  2. Thanks Adam. I had a look at my front hubs and its not drilled for the abs sensor so I gotta see how easy it is to do that fit the sensor
  3. Thanks. Is GPS any good as a sensor? instead of doing it using ABS ring. Or I bite the bullet to get a g4x to use the accelerometer instead.
  4. Hi Can a G4+ read the Nissan front abs sensor or can I replace it with something else? My car has no abs, I need to check on the weekend if the hub has a hole for the sensor or not and if I can buy the abs ring to put on. Otherwise I'll try and hunt down a ABS hub. Looking at setting up traction control Thanks
  5. Awesome, thanks again Adam. Hopefully this will all help another G4 owner in the future too.
  6. Yeah i'm trying to dig into it now. I think I need the MX+ as that is the one that will read CAN and not OBD2 because my G4 only has CAN/RS232 not extra CAN/OBD that G4+ and G4x have. Any chance you know the type of plug/JST something? for the CAN socket so I can get a pigtail to connect to an obd plug.
  7. Cool, mine has had it done already. I'm assuming I want the MX+ as it has support for SW-CAN & MS-CAN protocols. If this works, its gonna give the G4 a fair bit more life in this car.
  8. Hi Adam Would you know if I can wire in the above? an obd2 plug into my can/rs232 socket of my G4 for an obdlink mx+ If that works it would feed into racechrono
  9. Just looking if I can use something in the port of the old G4 CAN/RS232 port into OBD bluetooth. Ok, I'm going down a rabbit hole here. Can I wire in a obd-ii plug for a obdlink mx+ into the CAN/RS232 port in the G4 as it doesn't have CAN/OBD. To allow the odblink to talk CAN to the ECU?
  10. Thanks Adam, I'll see what I can dig out of RealDash. Racecapture looks like it is heading into the Solo2 territory which is a more complete product. I'll come back with what I can find.
  11. Hi I've been using RaceChrono w/ an external GPS for track days for a while now and want to get my ECU data in there. I haven't been able to find anything on Android that can support the Link G4 CAN USB output like RealDash does. I've tried looking at serious-racing.com, trackattack.io. Ideally I want the Link data logs w/ GPS and accelerometer data. Something that could read the G4 logs, Racechrono logs and then time align them with a go pro video overlay. Not asking for much The only thing I have found is the Aim Solo 2, which comes in at a much steeper price than a phone and external GPS. It might be the way to go though.
  12. Just fired this up and connected to my G4 PnP GTRLink. Thanks for making it work for the older G4. Now to play with the datalogging to see if I can use the GPS to draw a track map with the Link data.
  13. As always. Thanks Adam. Just couldn't find that in any doc other than the latest g4x
  14. Hi I was bored and reading the manual for the g4x gtrlink and it says for an rb20 loom the wiring needs to be swapped for injectors 4 and 6. I went through the g4 and g4 plus pdfs and they have no mention of this. I set the car to injector test 4 and 6 with my g4 gtrlink and it is the wrong way around. Test 6 makes injector 4 tick and test 4 makes injector 6 tick.
  15. Hi My map sensor is tee'd into the fpr at the front of my r32 rb25de. Would there be any issues if I relocated it to the rear of the plenum where my boost gauge reads off the back of the plenum?
  16. Hi Has anyone used one of these dual sensors in the stock location on an RB with a G4? https://www.efisolutions.com.au/bosch-fluid-pressure-and-temperature-sensor-pst-f1 Are they any good and are they ok mounted directly on the block or should it be remotely mounted. Thanks
  17. Thanks. Really appreciate the response. Car has sat for 2 years and I've decided to pull it out. I think I still have a stock ecu around that should plug it and fire up to test everything else in the car.
  18. I think this GTSLink G4 PnP I have is broken. It keeps the car on when you turn the key off. Initially you could start the car and it would idle but was low rpm, now it just won't fire the car. I saw on a recent FB post David had and said to check cont between pins 4 and 58 which I get nothing and to check this below. So I suspect it has be toasted. Photo attached of what David said to look at when opening it. Can it be repaired?
  19. Hi I've looked in the pinouts and the Link doesn't have pin 44 for the neutral switch, but can it support it at all? i.e. stop idiots from not checking the car is in neutral before starting.
  20. Correct, I have added the parameter to the logs for speed di #3, but it is just 0kph any where in the log. I've tried a few other log files as well. This is logging to a laptop not onboard the ecu. Speed DI #3 is working in realtime.
  21. Hi I have a PnP Link G4 and when driving I can view DI #3 to use as a speedometer but when logging it doesn't record anything in the log file. Does that sound right? Thanks
  22. Hi WIth my GTSLink G4, can it be setup to run coils w built in ignitors to replace the old seperate ignitor that early RB's had.
  23. Hi Can the G4 PnP run CoP w/ built in ignitors to replace the ignitor pack that the rb26 has
