No that ecu will not be suitable for that model.  None of the CAN bus stuff will work - instruments, ABS, climate control etc, and the ecu doesnt have enough outputs for the dual vanos and e-throttle.

Eeee i thought this ecu can control dual vanos …. plus you said none of the canbus system will work ..

does link has any other ecu for bmw e60 ??

  2. Hello everyone hope you are doing good

i have link g4x ecu i m using with m52 engine in e36  i just sold the car now i have my ecu i want to install in my e60 which is with m54b30 dual vanos

will my link ecu work with this engine

will i have any issue regarding immobiliser?

cluster and other features can work properly ?

    thanks in advance

  3. i just installed 3sgte 4th gen intake manofild and throttle onto my 3rd gen link g4 plugin ecu i see 4th gen tp sensor has 3 wires and 3rd gen tp sensor has 4 wires so i just left a wire which is idle pinout the car starts fine tp sensor is working i want to know what to do with the idle pinout wire? or just leave it as it is ?

  4. as scott said i have to use the yellow wire from the lc1 yes i used the yellow  wire and yes i used analog volt 5 as my wideband from he ecu
and yes simon it is innovate lc1 and i selected innovate lc1 as link has added the lc1 calibration  i have connected the  brown wire to my wideband guage and yellow wire to the ecu the readings are like when guage reads 12.5 and ecu reads like 8 afr  so i tried changing the wires i connected my ecu wire to the brown wire were i was already in use with the guage and now it reads 13.5 in guage and 14.5 in ecu
not sure its a wiring issue or calibration

  5. hello i m using link g4 plugin for mr2 3sgte

i just installed innovate lc1 into my car its working fine into the guage but it doesnt seems to be working fine in my link logs the values doesnt match even i have selected innovate lc1 wideband from the list kindly let me know how to figure it out thank you

  6. hi
i had issues with distributor spark to i thought i should go for coil on plug system with the help of link staff here it is what i did
as mentioned the correct connection of  pin numbers for ignition cylinder are like this..

ecu pin 20 to cylinder 1

ecu pin pin 7 to cylinder 2

ecu pin 8 to cylinder 3
ecu pin 17 to cylinder 4
but if i connect with this way my car does not even start but it backfires which indicates wrong firing order
so i tried myself to make it at least start so here it is what i actually did
ecu pin 7 to cylinder 3
ecu pin 8 to cylinder 2
ecu pin 17 to to cylinder 1
ecu pin 20 to cylinder 4
now the car starts fine but dont know what i m doing wrong why it is not starting on the wire connections as link mentioned..
on this strings car starts fine but i m having base timing issues if i set my base timing to 10 from ecu and set the distributor timing to 10 with timing gun after that car gets retard and does not run properly and secondly my ignition timing does not stays same all the time it changes even distribuor is locked  i checked my distributor it is fine kindly let me know what to do next do i need to change any other paramters i just set the ignition to direct spark nothing else..... or if there is any easiest way to get rid of distributor   so please tell me if i can use any cam sensor if yes so how to wire it up ...
i m just stuck on it i m also attaching my pcl file if you want to check the further settings thank you in advance.

  7. hey everyone
i have got denso 3 bar map sensor , omni 7 bar map sensor
what would i select for omni 7 bar map sensor i can see only 7 bar in menu is this i need to choose ??
and what about for denso 3 bar map sensor i can see only 2.5 bar and gm 3 bar in menu the rest are different
please confirm me or should i go for omni 7 bar ??

  8. I am sorry I totally failed to look at the part number on the picture. The first three numbers represent weather or not it is 1,2, or 3 bar. You have a 1 bar GM map sensor. The 4 number in the last 4 numbers represents 199* so this was manufactured in 1995. You are looking for #749 part number stamp which will be a GM 3 bar sensor.

i had already a doubt thank you very much @Rich RDE you saved me thanks again

  9. Did you do a Map Sensor calibration and store after selecting the right configuration? If the map sensor is calibrated right it will give you a message saying calibration complete. Or an error message. Maybe you have something adding additional fuel in your tune. Hit R for run time values and look at the fuel section to see if any trims are active. Post a log.

yes i tried to calibrate it show an error map sensor calibration command failed current map sensor <5kpa or <5kpa of baro reading ....what next
no i have not added anything to fuel

  10. hey thanks for reply
i did my wiring same as u showed in the picture my map is calibrated as AN 3 so i went in the option st205 was selected i changed it to GM 3 bar but car wont start and if starts i can see black smokes and then engine off

  11. hello everyone ...
i am using link g4+ plugin for st205 3sgte just wants to raise some boost so i switched to GM 3 bar map sensor i need calibration for this sensor the part number i can see is 039-4245 on the top and 41-17406 at the bottom also the wiring diagram i need i can see written on the sensor and the grip is C-B-A i have attached sensor picture reference kindly let me know what to do .... thank you
i saw gm  bar in my link software selected that but thats not working i dont know what m i doing wrongfacebook.com

  12. i just drove my car and i was logging there was not any previous log in logging it was a fresh file drove the car for around 2 mins got back to home to see the logging and i can se section time 1438 minutes what does it mean what have i done wrong i want my actual log file how can i find it in 1438 minutes ???

  13. hello ,

all link members, i have got defi bf advance series guages boost, water temp, and rpm with defi link , question is how can i connect them with my link g4+ ecu ? or i cant ?

and 2 more guages ( shadow taiwan ) oil temp and oil pressure can i connect these also ?
if not then what i need to log these parameters too ?

  14. The ballast resistor value required will depend on the impedance of the injectors. Here is the guidance from PCLink help:

    ballast.PNG

    okay got it thanks
can you please tell me what ohms resistor pack does oem st205 has ?because i was using my stock resistor pack with these injectors
my FIC 1450cc injectors are 2.2 ohms any help ?
and what about short pulse adder data and dead times table ?
currently i am just unable to use my injectors so i had to switched to oem injectors.

  15. hello to all link forum members i need some help regarding setting up my fic 1450 low impedance fuel injectors in the application toyota 3sgte st205 with link g4+
i do not have the injector data because i found these injectors used ones i need injector dead time table and the short pulse adder table to run the car properly. i already have the injector resistor pack for low impedance injector.

any help will be highly appreciated .

    thank you all in advance

attached the injector picture below .

  16. Aem uego Analogue controllers are somewhat of innacurate! usually the display shows already wrong values. The 0-5v output isceven worse. Shows too rich on rich side and too lean on lean side. I used to calibrate them agains my dyno O2 ( Motec PLM)

so for now what can i do to calibrate my log properly finally ??? change my aem uego wideband is that you mean ?

  17. Hi Mohsin,

For others reading this, I believe this is your last thread:

In that thread we found the calibration information was 0.00v = 0.683 lambda and 4.99v = 1.365v.

What is the difference between your gauge and what PCLink is showing?

yes that was my last post ..
when my aem wideband show 10 at that time my link software show around 11.7 or 11.8
