  1. So I balked at paying $70-100 for a Dell USB dongle that might not work and went ahead with the DIY cable. I cut up a USB extension and spliced the female end into a micro USB cable. Then I spliced the power feed from a regular USB cable into that. It's really hard to strip and solder wires that size. It took several attempts, but I can now display a dashboard while charging the tablet Just thought I'd loop back so the knowledge can be captured.
  2. Thanks for this Adam. How have you set this up? Did you plug the Link ECU tuning cable into the USB socket, the micro USB cable into the tablet and run a power brick or cigarette lighter charger into the micro USB socket? i might give it a go
  3. Thank you, I'll give it a go and come back with my findings re: this tablet and ecu combination.
  4. Any word on this guys...would you mind referring it to your technical team?
  5. Hi, I have set up an 8" Toshiba tablet in my car as a dashboard. It is connected to my Link Storm Black ECU using a micro usb on the go cable. The cable from the Link ECU is plugged into a USB female socket on the OTG cable and then the micro USB connects to my tablet. Unfortunately when I connect the other USB male connector on the OTG cable to a usb socket wired into my cigarette lighter the tablet does not get charged. This means my dash conks out during a day at the track To get the tablet charging I want to splice a USB cable to provide power to the tablet per these instructions: http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/threads/charging-encore-whilst-using-usb-devices.60229/page-3 Is there a tidier way of doing this and is there any danger from backfeeding 5v of power into the link ECU down the USB cable? If so how can I work around this? Are there any plans to make the Link ECU charge a connected tablet in the future?
