  1. Morning all - Can i please ask for some clarification on the crank hold and post start enrichment. I could be reading this wrong but the description seems at odds with the graph in the help file. Desc says post start enrichment and crank enrichment are active at the same time for the crank hold amount. Graph seems to show no cross over as the line is vertical from the end of crank hold to post start enrichment. Thanks, BR
  2. Hi Adam, Just to close this off i spent a lot of time trying everything to catch the stall - as i said the gain and anti stall did zip from max to min values. It really needed a dashpot style fall to idle - which when ethrottle is setup the hold table is removed. I managed to create a vitual dashpot using a virtual auxillary triggering a timer and that timer controlling a slowed return to idle using the 3D idle table. Works very well and might be something others could use if they have a similar problem. My engine has a very light flywheel and two charger bypasses and 550cc under runner injectors, big cam, remote ethrottle body, head flowed to hell and back etc etc etc all on a 1565cc engine so the combination is probably hard to tune but this made it very well behaved. Have attached the tune in case anyone else has a similar problem. Thanks again Adam and please pass on thanks to the engineers, support etc as the g4+ really is excellent. 3. Will do thanks Adam - and i'm happy for it to be on here.
  4. Yes im back again requesting more info, Can i please ask the specific ethrottle operation in regards to an engine returning to idle and how the base throttle plate position is calculated. Is it taking the ethrottle target table setting and adding it to the base idle position? My problem is i can generate a fairly stable idle with closed loop isc with the ethrottle and gratuitous use of idle ignition control but if the engine is revved the base position generates a stall as its too low, If it is a small say 300 rpm rev the throttle plate does not drop back as low as it does from a big rev watching it in the tp main setting. Prop gain and anti stall gain can be set anywhere from .5 their max (5 gain / 25 anti stall) and dont make a lick of diff. Setting my base idle target % high enough to stop a stall results in an idle way too high. When i ran a solenoid isc it seemed to drop to my set base pos then slowly drop down to the idle speed but this is different on the ethrottle settings. Any advice appreciated - again its a 50 year engine with a myriad of superchargers and modifications and different manufacturers parts so there is no baseline as such but it is 1.6 litres, 4 cyl and using a mini cooper r53 ethrottle body so all ethrottle body settings are r53 and the tbody tracks perfect. Thanks BR
  5. ta, understand Adam. If i really cant get around it i'll move on it. Thanks, BR
  6. Thanks Adam, very appreciated - i did write ign 7 and ign 8 was actually meaning to write inj7 and inj8. In any case, the response above is greatly appreciated. BR
  7. Hi, i'm back again for more mind numbing questions for the knowledgeable people - and i have fairly thoroughly tried to find the answers before i bother people. It's in relation to the S13link ecu. 1) The 5 pin Can2 / ODB connector - can i have the pin outs please - i cant find any info on the pin 1-5 assignments from this onboard connector. 2) Are the ign7 and ign8 available on the header? 3) Setting up the fuel pump on PWM through a 100a SSR and on "3 Stage PWM control" - the topic doesn't say that a SSR will not be able to switch fast enough compared to other methods so taking it an SSR is ok used this way? 4) Also in the above pwm method it does not say that another output is required to enable the power line to the pump (i've just set it up on a relay from the ignition). Ok? 5) For this old Renault engine I am using a nissan cas from a ca18det married to the old distributor housing which is run off the camshaft. Looking at the ecu stats i get max rpm recorded of 14000 rpm etc - so the signal is not that stable - filtering is on 2. I have an AEM 24 hole trigger disc so my question is will lowering the resolution possibly provide a more stable engine position output but still offer enough resolution? Just after some advice on this one. 6) In the wiring diagram in the help file Aux Inj6 is shown to be on pin 6 and on pin 9 - does that mean that wiring to either one will work as the g4 header is joined to both? Thanks in advance for any info available. BR
  8. Would like to understand how the G4+ interprets the following condition when using a voltage divider on an analog input for cruise control - i couldnt find the info in the help file. If the On cruise button (momentary not latching) is say set to 4v and it is held down then the ecu turns cruise on - if after this point the same On cruise button is held down does the ecu interpret that as cruise Off? Thanks, BR
  9. Afternoon, Wondering if there is someone out there who can guide me on ABS sensor wiring for signal pickup in the g4+ 50 year old car with commodore VT abs sensors mounted to read the flange bolts off 3 piece rims (12 bolts per rev). So assume these being 2 wire are passive sensors generating an analog AC signal. The Link will read this on a DI input? And do i wire these one side to +12v and the other to ground through say a 270ohm resistor with the g4+ picking up the signal between the resistor and sensor? Sorry a little lost and couldn't find help file info - but then again most of the stuff i'm doing is not normal. Any help appreciated. BR
  10. Morning, I've searched the forum and help file - if it is there i apologise. I have a new base map that has been supplied for the S13 plugin with more Virtual Aux inputs etc etc - all my current tune and settings are in my "current" S13 map. Is there a way to bring in all the settings or is this a "start again" scenario? Any help appreciated. BR
  11. Ta Adam, I was using the dual programmable relay board above to do this already - one input from starter and one from a proximity switch operated at 80% pedal movement so it opens the exhaust on startup and also nearing full throttle. Problem with the dual prog relay board was it doesn't recognise the re-trigger condition and restart the count so it will just finish its cycle and close the exhaust after the initial trigger. All good though ill work on a solution. Again I appreciate the help.
  12. Yes thanks B3 i was trying a similar solution using a second timer (triggered by virt aux 1 but as a on/off edge reset) and make that the 3rd condition for aux output 1 to prevent a retrigger - but it does your brain in as you say - and without being able to simulate a test easy makes it harder. Would be nice maybe to think in future releases the ecu could have a simple bit variables set (on/off or 0/1 etc) which could become part of the condition equations etc. Its to control an electronic exhaust but the electric motor on it has no position indicator, opening / shutting by reversing current - the process takes <1 second hence the 1 second pulse required but not required when already in that state. Ta, BR
  13. Afternoon, Have a S13 Link running a 50 year old twin charged injected Renault engine so this is not engine specific. I wish to have the ecu switch a low side aux output for a duration of 1 second upon a set of trigger conditions (MAP,RPM,TPS). At the same time a timer to start counting up to 9 seconds and if the trigger conditions are not met again before 0 seconds is reached then another (different to the above aux) low side aux output is switched for 1 second. Obviously easy to set a virt aux as the trigger conditions - im just a little stumped how to then make trigger for only 1 second, start another count down for 9 seconds and then trigger the outcome if it reaches zero (and is not reset during that time to start the 9 second count again) - plus if the trigger occurs again during that period the first 1 second output should not be retriggered. Prob not poss? May i also just confirm does the S134 link come with the abiliuty to control and ethrottle? i cant seem to find exact docu that says a definite yes or no. Ta,
