  1. Yep. That is my plan. I just cant confirm if the EPS controller can accept 12V input for speed signal. Afraid i fried the controller LOL. Thus my plan is to either use voltage level shifter or simply use IGN/INJ output with 5V pullup resistor for speed signal.
  2. @Vaughan Nope im not sending tacho output to factory dash. Dash is AIM, which the input is from CAN bus. For speed signal the output come straight from Xtreme ECU to the EPS. So does the EPS controller can accept 12V signal with no issue for speed?
  3. @Adamw Im feeding signals to toyota/daihatsu EPS to avoid it from running in safe mode. The ECU that im using is XtremeX wire-in. Currently I identified 2 signals required (both 50% duty cycle signals) from factory service manual of that EPS. Speed: 5V square wave (~17Hz at 20kph) confirmed can use 5V pull-up from INJ/IGN) - not sure if the controller can accept >5V high signal. I'm just try to be safe and feed 5V square signal. RPM: 12V square wave (~33Hz at 1000rpm) for 4 piston so if im using AUX for engine speed (RPM), regardless of which AUX (1-8) we should be able to get 12V high (pulled to 12V internally) and 0v low since it is low side drive? Am i right?
  4. Hi, Need help to clarify if the AUX/INJ/IGN spare output can be use to provide 5V PWM output to external controller? if yes can it be set internally or via external pull-up resistor to 5V?
  5. Thanks @Adamw that is very helpful info. Thanks for the help!
  6. Hi, Im working on some project and need to send the fault code from ecu to my microcontroller via CAN bus. For the case where the fault codes count is more than 1, how do i send all the fault codes to via CAN? From the help file - the "Fault Codes (Status)" defined as per below: Is it if i set the parameter in the frame to "Fault Codes (Status)", which the data will be 0-255: Is it representing then number of specific fault code i.e Fault code 57 --> MAP Above Fault Code Value OR is it bit position of the fault code. means bit 57 in fault code is MAP Above Fault Code Value Thank you in advance!!!
  7. Hi, I'm having issue with AEM series X which the data received was weird. I have checked 2 of customers ECU (XtremeX and AtomX) both updated to latest version 6.21.24 having same issue. Wiring is confirmed (AEMNET + connected to CAN H, and AEMNET - connected to CAN L) with both having 120Ohm termination resistor) Setup and log are attached Thanks! 8. thanks dave. that will do. Thanks for the help!
  9. Need a solution to FTD2XX.DLLis missing issue without real hardware connected. I usually open my file in a desktop PC when im at home doing logs reviews.
  10. Hi, I'm planning to upgrade from ALTEZZA TALT+ to ALTEZZA TALTX. Is it compatible for the pinout (analog and digital I/O) also for the expansion?
  11. Hi, I'm using G4+ Fury and currently trying to setup fuel pump using FP Speed. Since JZX90 use a fuel pump controller, from what i can find out is it is using 5V PWM signal (but i totally not sure). Please advise on the wiring and setup. Thanks, Zaihas
  12. @cj thank you for your input. I have the same idea where i'll be adding clock divider (divide by 8) to the output sensor output. just trying my luck to see if there is simpler solution.
  13. Thanks Adam, Good info. This sensor has by 8 divisor, which should be like almost ~3KHz at 1 bar (2 PR) with my 14 blade turbo. This will not work. any other DI i can use? This is the link to the sensor - https://www.full-race.com/store/fabrication-materials-kit-builders/electronics/borgwarner-efr-turbo-speed-sensor-kit-2/
  14. I'm planning to install Borg Warner Turbo Speed sensor and connect it to one of the digital input of the expansion connector (DI 9 OR DI 10). From what i understand, these 2 inputs are not capable of measuring frequency. Am i right? If that is the case, then since i'm gonna disable the exhaust VVT (replace the exhaust pulley with static pulley), can i use DI 2 (originally was for the exhaust VVT position) for this purpose? Any impact on trigger? what i believe is the intake VVT sensor also used for piston synchronization. Thanks in advance.
  15. Nvm. i think i figured it out. It is dedicated input no assignment needed.
  16. Thanks for the info Brad! Anyhow, i still confuse about the connection (Knock1). What i thought was analog input (which i'm not sure which AN input) need to be set to function "knock (0-5V)". Then only turn on knock control to "on-internal" to enable internal knock circuitry. Is it the analog pin function assignment is not needed?
  17. Hi, I was wondering if the OEM knock sensor works with AltezzaLink? And which input does it connected to? Thanks! Zaihas
