Hi all, new link owner but unable to get it to connect to PCLink. ECU Link G4+ R34 GTT Error: "Unable to connect to the ECU but USB connection is present. Please cycle the power to the ECU." Checked in device manager and am able to see the Link on COM port 5. if i pull the USB plug out it disappears from list when ignition is on there is a green led that lights up on the ECU i can see through a screw hole. attached are the voltages seen at each Pin when Ignition is on. any more information required please let me know.
Car : Audi TT quattro 1.8 turbo year 2000 (mfg 1999-09-20) with APX engine. Issue : With the engine running you can turn the ignition key to off position (and remove it from the ignition lock if you want) and the engine and all lights are still running. Pretty sure "brake + clutch drop in gear" is not going to cut it as the go-to solution for the customer. Is this a known issue? The car and engine is completely standard/stock, and with the original ECU this does not happen.
hi i own a mitsubishi EVO VI and i need to install a new ecu, to make more power, more control and motorsport functions, now, this is a rally car. i thinking to buy a plug and play ecu, like the G4 my big questions are, it is included a base map for start the engine? there is some base maps available online? this ecu have knock control? lanch control, als is included on the ecu? i need to conect any device on the engine to control the ALS? I'm in the process of converting the stock 4G63 wasted spark coils to direct spark COP setup and appear to have hit a speed bump. I've just gone into the manual and PCLink software and it appears that to run sequential ignition you need to align the output with the firing order (IGN OP 1 to Spark 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3, 4 to 4, etc)? The issue I have is that ignition outputs 3, 4 and 5 on the EvoLink IX PNP are already used for other functions; fuel pump, A/C Fan, and NB heater respectively. Coincidentally, ignition outputs 6 and 7 are available (both physically unwired) therefore making them ideal to use for a mini loom to control sparks 3 and 4- but I don't believe I can program them for this??? Is this a software limitation (that could be changed in PCLink/ firmware), or is it a hardware limitation of the ECU? I am reluctant to start moving pins about within the stock ECU plugs, hence the query.
