    SR20DET problems (link storm)

Hey guys, I'm starting up my first topic on this forum because I've run into some problems with my sr. Earlier this year my car broke down (2 rocker arms snapped) I fixed it by replacing rocker arms and camshafts. After the repair i took the car for a test drive and as soon as i get full boost it feels like the engine is just cutting out, This only happens att 3900rpm at all gears no matter how much throttle I use. Has anyone had the same problem? I'll post my logg down bellow. Cheers. s14 logg.llg
  2. Hi All, I've just finished wiring up a 1UZ into a MX83 Cressida but have run into a weird issue that I could use a hand on. The car is running a Storm ecu, K20 COP and has a R151 gearbox. I'm using the 1UZ VVTI base map with a few small things modified. The car will run but only barley at 200rpm, it won't rev at all even with the butterfly fully open. It will slowly taper off and die no matter what I do and if I block the isc with the butterfly closed the engine will die instantly. I'll start with what I've done: - Checked both injectors + coils with the test function and they're working as expected - New 255 Walbro installed and set to run constantly for now - Engine made very good compression just today which means the timing is all good - The ISC is a 2pin from purchased from NZEFI - New plugs and gapped down to recommended gap - I checked the timing offset and had to sent it to 356 in order for the car to run I found that a fuse I was using had a manufactures defect and was only passing 9V but I don't believe that would've caused any issues. Any help or things to check would be very helpful, I'm a little stuck

M50B20 wiring to link g4+ storm

Greetings all, I am currently wiring a 6 cylinder m50b20 with 153624 firing order, to a link G4+ storm "blue one" what would be the best wiring for ignition, injection? what is did is 153 to inj port 1 and 624 to inj port 2 and did put 2 ignitors to every three coils. setup multiport with 1-2 INJ ports and 1/2 injection cycle. Is there anything better to do ? shall I used coils with built in ignitors? Recommendations highly appreciated

    G4+ Storm (black) communications port

Hi, I'm using the G4+ Storm (black) ecu that uses the link proprietary usb cable to connect to the ecu, unline the atom/monsoon which uses the generic usb mini port. My question is does the storm connect via serial? From the help files it says this communications port (pictures attached) isn't available for storm. I'm guessing it is referring to CAN which the storm has a wired pin out on the ecu loom itself. I'm planning to do a connection to the ecu wirelessly. If the ecu communicates via serial I'm guessing it would be possible to use a wireless rs232 connection?

    Link G4 Storm - LS1 - wideband options + other questions

I've had an E36 with a 5.7 LS1 in it for about a month now (terrific fun, I'm not dead yet either!) Got a few questions pertaining to the management- it runs a Link G4 Storm. It looks like it was setup by someone who possibly had an inkling of what they were doing, but... at the same time, it wasn't very well done. Niggles are as follows... 1) no Lamdas or wideband fitted. I'd like to fit a wideband setup- what's recommended for an LS1? 2) the tacho, when connected, was jumping all over the show. I'd like to think this was because I was trailing the wire right over the HT leads at the time, causing it to bounce about... I'll try again in the morning and we'll see what the deal is. Unless you can't use a stock E36 tacho wire with a Link G4 Storm..? Any light to be shed on this would be great. 3) the coolant temp sensor refuses to read above 52ºC... guessing the sensor is goosed, or incorrectly specified? Thanks in advance.

    G4+ storm OBD2 output

Hi all just need a bit of advice and guidance please. I have recently purchased the Link G4+ storm for my '95 Celica GT4 ST205 on the advice of some members and admin. I am going to be buying a new android head unit for the car so I can get some apps to view gauges e.g.Torque. Now seeing as the car only has OBD1 capabilities and having read that you can configure the CAN BUS to have an OBD2 output I was thinking what would would; 1) be a good android head unit e.g. Pumpkin head unit as they use Bluetooth and wifi and relatively cheap. 2) what would be the best OBD2 reader/transmitter (Bluetooth or wifi) with any examples for most accurate real time data streaming 3) be the best app to show me some gauges e.g. Boost, intake temp, oil temp, AFR, knock, coolant temp etc. 4) the best cables to use to convert the CAN BUS to OBD2 and how to go about it. Just a quick mention the ecu is located behind the centre console on the floor so would only be about 30cm from head unit max incase i need to wire in any resistors or not as I don't think I would need a long cable as OBD2 reader/transmitter would be right there to connect to the head unit. Thank you in advance

  8. Hi there, This is my first time using a Link management system with a Subaru. I've installed many Subaru engines into VW based cars, but have always used original, modified, harness and control systems. I'm trying to fire up this 2.5 Subaru in a street legal sandrail. ( tried to put a pic up, but the size allowed doesn't let me). With a G4 Storm system, with an attached Bussmann fuse and relay block. I'm wondering if this thing is going to need an igniter, because it cranks but no start. Also another thing is, when I hook up the fuel pump it keeps constantly running and absolutely flooding the system. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thank youuu
