Traction Control question

Hi guys.

I plan to use DI6(EVO4-8 plug in) to be my non-driving wheel speed, and ABS sensor signal is the easiest source I can get.
Due to the frequency limit of this Digital input channel is about 500hz, I think the non-driving speed may “error” when the vehicle speed is higher than 80kph+. (calculated value)

The “Speed lock function” in Traction control page is the lower threshold, but is there any way to disable traction control when the speed is higher than setting value?  

and, what will traction control function do if non-driving speed frequency is higher than 500hz ? Enable or disable?

If you drive a DI to too high a frequency it fails to 0. So the non drive wheel speed will be received as 0kph. 

I've never tried it, but I think if you added a 1kph column to the slip table (to separate 0kph from 1kph), and set this whole 0kph column to 100% (ie allow any slip/no traction control), then it would perform TC as requested up to between 80-150kph (actual failure frequency is usually a fair bit over 500Hz), then once it fails to 0 it will hit the non-driven speed column for 0kph, which would have values essentially disabling TC.

I dont think that will work...  0kmh non driven wheel speed would be "infinity %" slip, not 100%.  Also the max slip target is 50% from memory.

If you want to use an ABS sensor that has more than about 20 teeth then you will need a frequency divider.

If it is a 2 wire sensor then use one of these:  https://shop.vems.hu/catalog/hall-p-162.html

If it is a 3 wire sensor then it will be best to build your own:  

 

 

Note, some ABS ecu's wont be happy with sharing the sensor, so consider that ABS may no longer work.

Not natively.  If you have a another spare aux out and DI, you can connect them together, set the DI as traction disable, then set up the aux to turn off at high speed.
