Strain gauge gearknob setting on Fury

Hi guys. I have a H pattern dog box that I want to use a strain gauge on for flat up shifting. Can something like the geartronics knob (analogue) be used on the ecu, or does it need a digital switch type system? And can the ECU be set to cut ignition on 100% full throttle up shifts and no cut on say 10% and under downshifts?

Yes to both questions.  You can use an 0-5V strain gauge with an H pattern gearbox to trigger a driven upshift cut, the "end shift" (length of cut) can be based on a timer or closed loop barrel position.  If the Throttle position is below the Drive/Overrun TP setting then the shift is considered an overrun down shift instead.

Hi Adam. Thanks for your reply. I am looking at getting the S1 sequential load cell gearknob. Seems quite good for the money.

This with the link should be able to see difference in upshifts/downshifts based on throttle position.

Would it be better setting up as a digital or analogue system as the knob can do both.

From our end the Analogue set up is preferred.

Yep, I agree with Simon here, analog is easier as it means you can make all adjustments in the ECU software, rather than going between the knob and ECU settings.
