Link for R32 Skyline GTR not connecting to laptop

Hi, can anyone help with an issue. I havent used the link software for about a year, on a supra last time and there was no issue, this weekend i tried to connect to an R32 Skyline GTR, at first it said to update the software on the laptop, did that, but no it will not recognise there is an ECU connected. Auto setting doesnt work, on manual connect setting the COM port is correct, i've tried connecting the baud rate, but still nothing. The laptops connectivity settings show the link as connected. Any advice much appreciated. Ed

Can you give us a screenshot of the comport properties window general tab and driver tab similar to mine below.  

Then with PC Link G4+, can you turn off auto connect and rather than try to connect, go to ECU controls>update firmware and see if the firmware tool connects.  The firmware tool uses a different bit of software to connect so may help diagnose.

Thanks very much for the help, I'll get that screenshot to you as soon as i can, i'll have to get the car back here to do it, and with our lockdown at the moment that may be a few weeks, but as soon as i can i will. really appreciate the advice. i'll be back!
