senordos
Hello, I'm sorry if this is an obvious one and I'm missing something simple, but I can't see where in G4+ where i can setup a warning / fault code when my AIT / ET / something else goes above a set figure. On my old Motec I could set up warnings which would flash up on dash if temps got high, or boost went high... I know I can setup the "gauges" to do something similar, but that's on the PC Link and not in the ECU. Also, if I want to send this information to a dash (I'll be doing this at some point) - or set up warning light - I'd need to be able to do this. I'm sure I'm being a noob not finding the setting so appreciate any help! Cheers!
Adamw
This is the Error low/Error High value on each analog input setup. If any of the analog inputs go outside of these error values then the CE Light output will be activated. The CE Light output can be a real wired aux output/lamp, or just a virtual aux if you are only interested in sending it out via CAN. The relevant fault code is also sent out over CAN so you can know what activated the CE Light.
senordos
Hi Adam, I've pasted the screen I believe you speak of below.... but this shows the error high and low in voltage... I assumed this was the "range" that the sensor was in normal operation, and outside of this range it would give me Error Value (so below, it would be 50degC). What I want to set up is that if the AIT is above, say 60degC to tell me... or if the ETs are above 100degC. Is this possible? For example, here is the screen from my old Motec... Adamw
The error limits are more there for covering a failed sensor or wiring situation rather than just a driver warning. If you just want a warning for IAT & ECT as per your example you would use a GP output. Example below to cover the IAT, ECT & Oil temp. If you want more you can use a virtual aux for one of the conditions and add another 3. You can also set a virtual aux to CE light and combine that with other conditions so that the one CE light does the temp warnings and the normal CE light function. senordos
Thanks Adam! That's exactly what I was looking for... really helpful (as usual!).
