AEM MAP and IAT Sensor

Hi,

That is strange that you state that it is an i44 as when I open his PCL FILE and go to the HELP FILE,

Under ECU INFORMATION it states that it is an i88 TOPBOARD PNP UNIT.

Earlier PNP units were all V44 and then later v88 TOPBOARDS.

The ECU is stating it is an i88 TOPBOARD and it is also running version 5.0.1 firmware, so it needs to have the firmware upgraded to version 5.0.3

The other give away that it is an i88 TOPBOARD is the fact that it has 8 injector outputs and 8 ignition outputs.

i44 only have 4 fuel and 4 ignition outputs.

Regards

Dave.

Hi, I am actually in Cairns North Queensland Australia.

I changed the time clock from Sydney to Cairns but somehow stuffed it up.

So now I have absolutely no idea.

Regards

Dave.

Also if the firmware has been updated I would like your latest PCL file sent to me please.

I believe you have a timing light and a wideband AFR meter correct.

Is all wiring etc done.

All going well I would like to send the new PCL tomorrow and fire this puppy up.

Do you have TEAMVIEWER on your laptop?????????????

Regards

Dave.

Hi Dave,

I only need a high boost and a low boost setting. The wheel alignment is pretty good along with Toyo R1R tires, so I don't need gear dependent boost levels at this hp.

Using teamviewer would be awesome while mapping.

The ECU I bought was supposed to be an i44 plug-in, but I saw also in the help file it said i88.

I updated the firmware last night to 5.0.3 (The update went smoothly).

I was up late last night (here) doing some work on the car and answering you :)

Here you can see our local time: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/norway/oslo

I will drive back to the garage now and send you the latest PCL file.

All the wiring is set up (expect from launch control button), I got an inductive timing light and a wideband AFR sensor/gauge.

Ok, I will also need a final list of what functions you wish to have and a full list of all of your inputs, outputs etc, basically what is wired to what so I can setup the files correctly.

It is 9:30 pm here now, my medication has kicked in so it is time for me to sleep.

I normally getup around 3:00 - 4:00 am.

I will continue with your file then,

Regards

Dave.

Hi Dave,

Here is the list of inputs/outputs:

AUX1 - AC Fan

AUX2 - Tacho

AUX3 - AC Clutch

AUX4 - Temp and boost W/lamp

AUX5 - Fuel Pump

AUX6 -

AUX7 - O2 Heater

AUX8 - Purge

INJ7 - ISC Solenoid

INJ8 - Boost Solenoid

AnV1 - NB Oxy

AnV2 - TPS

AnV5 - AEM MAP

AnV6 - PLX AFR

AnTemp1 - Engine coolant Temp

AnTemp3 - AEM IAT

DI1 - AC Request

DI2 - Start Position

DI3 - Power Steer

DI4 - Neutral

DI5 - LR Wheel Speed

The ECU still state it is i88 top board, and since I use INJ 8 for boost solenoid this must be correct.

Hi mate,

I will setup some extra functions based on having the second expansion connector.

That way it will already be programmed for you, you will just need to fit the connector and I will give you instructions on how and what to connect and what the function will be.

The end result for this car, is it for fun cruising, drift , drag racing or all of these.

I just need to know the intended use of the vehicle, this will give me all the ideas on how I need to set the ECU up.

Regards

Dave.

Hi mate,

do you want all of your Y axis set up as MGP , this way you can setup as PSI in some tables by using the U key or setting up the OPTIONS tab.

I have setup all tables with MGP as the Y axis , but I can change them if you wish.

Regards

Dave.

Hi mate,

give me a couple of days, I have all but finished your PCL file, but I am back in hospital today in severe pain.

Hopefully, they will finally fix me.

I am very sorry about taking so long to do this for you.

But if you let me finish it for you it will be worth it for you and your car.

Sorry again.

Talk soon.

Regards

Dave.

We have to have the car tuned by june 5th.
