t.nollett
hi, new to this site and it my first ecu install in my project build, i need to sort out the crank trigger, at the moment im using a 36-1 trigger wheel, does the ecu trigger on the rising edge on the first tooth it sees after the missing tooth, the cam trigger is a single tooth both using a Reluctor sensor. Scott
Hi, Welcome to the forum. A 36-1 crank trigger setup will work well. The ECU will trigger on the falling edge of the first tooth after the missing tooth. For your cam make sure you set trig 2 sync mode set to 'Cam Pulse 1x'. What sort of engine are you running? Scott. t.nollett
next question, i have AEM pencil coils but have read that the AEM cdi unit is not very good and prone to failure so was looking at going with a M&W cdi unit which will cost £600, is there a cheaper option that will do the job or should i go with the M&W unit
Scott
Good morning, It looks like you've put a lot of work into your build! For CDI we recommend M&W because they are known to be a quality unit. Unfortunately they are pricey. Cheers, Scott.
