ashesman Posted July 9, 2007 Report Share Posted July 9, 2007 That will depend on compression ratio, boost level, fuel type, intake temperature etc... Maximum advance will occur at cruise anyway and then it is the advance required to make best economy/emissions. Maximum ignition under load will be the point at which more timing produces no more power or before detonation occurs, which ever happens first.
