Matt Howe
Simple request - an accelerometer option as an option for the inputs. Most 0-5V powered ones are output 2.5V for 0g, then a fixed voltage when experiencing 1g. For example the factory subaru ones are 2.5V 0g and 1.5V/g either way. Would be nice to be able to input a centre voltage, then the v/g swing parameter
Cameron Moore
Hi Matt, Is this just for logging? Or did you want to do something with the output? You could just use a GP 0-5V Input. -Cameron
Matt Howe
I currently use the GP 0-5V input as a axis in a PWM table that is controlling an electromecahnical diff. I suppose nothing would change other than it being a little more intuative... Currently I mirror the map each side of 2.5V. I guess the doubling up was getting to me haha
Cameron Moore
Hi Matt, The reason I ask is to see if the use is common, or useful enough that more people might use it, otherwise there wouldn't be much point putting it in. What kind of diff is it? -Cameron
Matt Howe
It's a standard subaru gearbox with DCCD control. Most people use expensive aftermarket controllers (e.g. Motec SDC, Neetronics, GEMS, dccdPro) to custom map the dccd control for motorsport, but given the new G4 PWM tables it makes sense to use these instead. Not much of a big deal really. It would be more useful to have the option of using virtual aux outputs as a 3D table to add more layers of control to the eventual PWM output map. But I hear this is already in the works Cheers
Cameron Moore
Hi Matt, The latest G4 Firmware has 3 Virtual Aux Outputs enabled, let me know how it goes. -Cameron
Matt Howe
Thanks I noted that, they need to be configurable as 'GP PWM' to be useful for this purpose though
