It concerns me that it has expired too. I put a bosh igniter on and the motor now runs. It was wired correctly as in the pin-out diagram. Could it have been spiked by welding? ashesman Posted July 4, 2007 Report Share Posted July 4, 2007 Hmmmmm, not likely to have blown up from a welding spike, but nothing is impossible. The Bosch igniter will be fine as long as you are running it within its limits (ie suitable coil and dwell time)... Matt Dunn Posted July 11, 2007 Report Share Posted July 11, 2007 From the diagrams it looks as though the two channel igniter has a tacho interface built in similar to the mitsi VR4 type ones.
