Andreas K
1, When running audi 135 trigger, what shall the Sync mode on trigger 2 be set to? I've set it to Cam level. I have the trigger in the distributor. 2. If I were to run only one trigger and that was in the distributor with 5 slots (one for each cyl) what will trigger 1 be set as multi-tooth on the cam and 5 tooth? what will trigger 2 be set to? I know this means single point inj and distributor ignition when only running one trigger
martin battye
1 question correct. 2 question.. in this moethod youd have no engine position reference.. i.e the ecu never knows TDC offset.. it only knows speed.. if you removed a trigger tooth then you could run 5-1. it wouldnt be so great tho
Andreas K
If one were to run a dis with one slot per TDC and a single sync tooth on the crank, Will this be set up as 1 tooth per TDC and sync mode as crank pulse x1? Will this be a good trigger mode or will there be to few tooth?
Simon
This would work but a sync off the cam and multi teeth on the crank is better. A single sync on the cam is better as it will allow the use of sequential fuel and ignition. With a crank sync you have to run wasted spark or distributor ignition and group fire fuel.
