Matt Petersen
Is it possible to use the factory 1UZ parts to improve the idle and cold start quality? If not is there an aftermarket ISC that can be used? Cheers Matt.
ashesman
Depends on what ECU you are running. Most Link ECU's will control idls speed and all Link ECU's will use factory parts such as TPS and ISC valve. If your ECU has stepper motor capability then you should be able to run idle speed control... Matt Petersen
Thanks Ashley. I am running a V4 G1. Do you know if the O2 sensor on the 1UZ is also compatible? Cheers
ashesman
V4 G1 will not run the factory 1UZ-FE ISC valve. TPS will be OK. If the O2 sensor that is in the engine still works (unlikely) then it is compatible...
Matt Petersen
Thanks Ashley. Can the V5 G1 control it? Cheers Matt.
Matt Petersen
If not are you aware of any ISC that can be used? Cheers Matt.
ashesman
Use a two wire ISC valve as found on some european cars. contact [email protected] to purchase an ISC valve. Contact [email protected] as there may be mods required for your ECU to run ISC control due to its age... If you were to upgrade your ECU to an LEM G3 you would get a huge list of additional features, much better tunability and the ability to run precise closed loop idle speed control using the factory stepper motor...
