Guy Gove
Hello, I've just installed my plug and play ecu into my 200sx CA18det over the last couple of weekends. The engine is still being put together so it hasn't run on the new ecu yet. Anyway, today I decided to download the new software and update the firmware on the ecu. I installed the new software without loading the latest usb drivers, seeing the warning on the website about them. The problem I am having is that when I try to update the firmware the window just sits at the 'searching for ecu...' point and goes no further. Both versions of the PCLink software have no problem connecting to the ecu, but the firmware updater appears to not be able to find it. Please can you let me know what I could try in order to update the firmware. Thanks Guy
Simon
You will need to check what Com Port has been assigned to the ECU. If this happens to be 10 or greater the firmware update will fail. You will need to rename the port through control panel to a lower value.

Guy Gove
I changed the com port to com2, tried the update again and it worked first time. Thanks for the help.
