mark jones1436215442
Hi guys, I've just bought a second hand link ecu for my mitsi lancer evo 6. it didn't come with software, pc lead, or any info (other than it has a conservative map approx 280bhp as it was used to run in a new engine). I've just taken the casing off and there is a sticker on the bottom of the board which says "MIT78" and a sticker on the chip which says "EVO456K290402". Can you please tell me exactly what this ecu is G1, G2???? also what software and pc cable do I need? Thankyou very much for your help! Mark. mark jones1436215442
forgot to add it was mapped in Dubai (I'm in the uk) at 1.2 bar I should imagine with the weather being a lot cooler here, it should have quite a safe map against det. Thanks.
ashesman
This ECU is a G1 EVO Plug in. It is not PC tuneable and must be tuned with a hand held tuning module...
mark jones1436215442
oh dear, the tuner I was speaking to said it could be tuned via a laptop and serial link??? also noticed on the other side of the circuit board it says evo 1999 v4.0. I thought the version 4 was tunable on laptop? thanks again
ashesman
No G1 EVO plug ins were ever PC tuneable. V4 LEM wire in was PC tuneable...
