Chipset
I wonder if there is any way for the G4 plugin to read-log and generaly operate with the stock sr20det knock sensor like other ECUs does. Im seeking for this feature or a compination of knock reading - knock amplifing ( maybe with a curve depenting and the egnine speed (rpm) ) of the stock sensor Please enlighten me Thank you
Denis Tan
You need knockblock G4 knock control for G4 plugin. Denis
Steve1436215419
You can hook it up through the knockblock module.
Chipset
Thank you very much but i was waiting that there could be a way of directed communication between the knock sensor and the Ecu instead of using the knockblock as an adapter. Some times it isnt the added cost but the minimality of the design , and like it is now feels a bit wierd + that you are depenting on a device 'knockblock' running on battaries. Maybe this one is a clever and very nice feature for the tuner or the tuning procedure but its a no for a permanent knock monitor solution. Thanks again
Denis Tan
You don't need batteries for knockblock on permanent install, if you want direct communication between knock sensor & ecu then go for G4 Xtreme, which feature knock control onboard.
