Considering G4 Extreme to power Subaru EZ30R H6

Hello, I'm considering the G4 Extreme wire in to power a Subaru EZ30R H6 engine. I was wondering if there are any good base maps available as that could be a deciding factor to go for the Link (instead of say a Syvecs). I have already installed PCLink and would like to get used to the system with an appropriate map before a possible purchase. I will be running the car using a cable operated throttle (so no DBW) probably off a New Age WRX including the IAC. Are the available maps using the original air flow meter? Does using an air flow meter offer any benefit in system performance or ease of tuning? If so I might want to use WRX V1-2 MAF as I have a few of those on the shelf. I am in contact with the Link dealer for my region (Custom Import Arts in Belgium) and information and support has been quite good so far. Best regards, Marnix van Deijk The Netherlands

Hi We have done plenty of these conversions turboed and non turboed as well

as for a base map i can point you in the right direction if you send me an email

all of the ones we have done we have done of map and have not bothered with wiring in airflow meters.

if you are looking for a map to look at have a look at the ver7 wrx base map as although this is not for a ez30r it will give you an idea of vvt control etc

Hello,

I am a VW Vanagon conversion specialist working on tuning both the EZ30 and EZ36 using the G4 Extreme.

Multiple vans have already been completed, dynoed and road tested.

My projects are all in compassing, meaning the entire driveline is custom designed and built as they are all wheel drive vans.

Low hour motors were sourced, RJES bellhousing adapters have been used to mate the Subaru engine to the VW transaxle. 240mm pull type clutch packs have been used. Porsche 930 flanges and CVs. Larger front disc brake kits and rear disc brake kits designed and mounted to stop these expedition worthy vehicles.

Another side project is adapting the Subarugears, 5 speed, reversed ring and pinion transmission mated with these engines and the EG33.

I will do my best to share information and collect as much as others are willing to share with me on the tuning of these engines.
