Kasozi Christopher Posted December 7, 2006 Report Share Posted December 7, 2006 i am currently fitting a lexus v8 in to a old hq ute the problem i have got is that the trans is electronicly controld and i cant interface a atermarket compter with the trans ecu . is ther a after market ecu that can run a eletronicly controld trans ??? ashesman Posted December 7, 2006 Report Share Posted December 7, 2006 Engine not a problem ... but you will have to track down a proper trans controller... They can usually be more expensive than a manual conversion! Ring some auto-trans shops, they may have a solution, may even be able to convert the auto to manual shift! Try call in Peter Hayes at Autotrans in Christchurch he's pretty clued up on that sort of stuff...
