Scaling a Boost Gauge into Link Plug In

Weldon

Recommended Posts

I have a Ver5 STi with a Link G4 Plug In ECU.

How do i Install my Boost Gauge up to the ECU to Log?

It Is a ProSport JDM Boost Gauge.

Is it through Analog Inputs? And do i select GP Pressure? Then Use a Cal table?

Also, the scaling that i have for my Boost Gauge is as Follows:

30 vac= .27v

20 vac = .52v
10 vac   = .9V
   0          = 1.2V
5psi Boost=1.4v
10psi Boost=1.7v
15psi Boost=2.0v
25psi Boost=2.7V
30psi Boost =3V
40psi Boost =3.64

45 psi Boost=4

How would i input/Calibrate Vacuum into the table?

Any Help is very much appreciated.

Weldon,

Can you explain better what you want to achieve?  You already have a MAP sensor connected to the ECU that can be set up to log 'boost' so why do you want to connect a separate to boost pressure gauge/sensor?

Well you just answered my question. Im not an Expert tuner or anything. Im teaching myself as i go. So i did not know that the MAP sensor readings are the same as the Boost Sender Readings would be.

Okay, so heres another question.

When i data Log, i noticed that the MAP readings max out at 180 kPa. I have a 3 BAR MAP Sensor in case you were wondering.  Any Explanation for that?

I did a quick Log earlier today, and the Pic attached is a screen shot of the Log.

                                                             Thank You,

                                                                           Weldon

Are you sure it's 'maxing out at 180Kpa?  On that screen shot you only have 55% throttle also so boost reached will be limited by that.  If you can post your actual log and cal file then someone may be able to confirm if there is any issue.
