Guest |292|
Rather than utilizing something like an AIM dash, is it possible/has anyone tried utilizing something like the PLX DM-200 OBDII or one of the other OBDII gauges out there? Yes, they are listed as OBDII, but the data is still via CAN, so it *seems* as though a simple adapter would facilitate/allow the use of such a display/gauge, of course assuming that V88 has correct frame size and ISO. rayhall
An adaptor would be needed to convert the Vipec data stream format. I am willing to try and make an adaptor, if I was supplied with the OBDII protocol information. Ray.
Guest |292|
The device uses ISO-9141, VPW, PWM, KWP 2000, 11Bit CAN, 29Bit CAN. What is the output of V88? Given that the PLX uses 11/29 bit CAN it would seem possible that nothing more than a harness adapter would be necessary, no?
rayhall
What is the output of V88? The Vipec data stream is Serial/RS232 and the protocol is 57600 8 none 1. This is the detailed information on the Vipec data stream. http://www.vi-pec.com/techdata/ViPEC_Datastream_Acquire.pdf I would need as detailed information on the OBD2 to make an adaptor. Ray.
