Guest |99|
The boost table is set reasonably well for increasing RPMs. ie from 2000RPM with WOT the boost is well controlled without any overshoot and with good spool rates. If I am above 3800rpm and rapidly open the throttle then I get overshoot and Boost cut for a short period before the system gets back under control. Is it possible to have and over boost period for xxx sec before boost cut is active on order to allow for short term boost transients?? rayhall
If you are getting boost cut, then you may have the boost limit set too close to the boost pressure. The boost cut limit is to protect the engine if you get a big over boost condition. Also make sure that at higher rpm, the boost table duty is set well before the boost gets to the target you are trying to achieve. You need give time for the boost valve to stabilize before you get to the boost pressure. Ray.
