Hi Guys (and Girls)

I am looking to buy TTLink - #TT+  but need some advice ,

The car is Audi S3 (225) 2003 BAM essentially the same as the TT Quattro 225 , it is a project car with bigger turbo, 80mm throttle, 1000cc  etc etc , If I use this will I retain all functions , ESP, ABS ,T/C , Haldex ,Dash, A/C  (I don't have cruise control)

I read that Link/ViPec ? have done a lot of work with CAN tie in but need to understand what it will not do and my limitations

Your feedback will be much appreciated

Cheers

Hi,

We have not used the TT ECU on the BAM engine before, but the chart I have says this should work. Out of your list the following will not work:

  • ESP and Traction Control.

The G4+ ECU is able to be setup to do traction control though. it will use the four wheel speeds coming in over the CAN bus.

In June one our TT ECUs was fitted to a 2007 Seat Ibiza, and this car had a problem with two lights staying on on the dash:

These are the known requirements:

  • Engine must be 1.8T
  • ECU header must have two connectors, 121 pins total.
  • Must be Drive By Wire
  • Must be manual transmission
  • FWD or 4WD (Haldex)

Hi Scott ,

thank you for the reply , and the quick support

I followed the thread you mentioned unfortunately no final outcome - hope it worked out ,

What I will do is get a unit and test it (worst case scenario the dash lights and ABS will not cooperate) If  I have issues I will get a can sniffer and take it from there ,

PS my car have all the mentioned requirements

Cheers
